Chilangwa Warns HH Over Planned Demos

HHKAWAMBWA PF member of parliament Nickson Chilangwa says UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema will not be spared if he breaks the law.
And Chilangwa, who is home affairs deputy minister says it is wishful thinking for the opposition to think they can dislodge the ruling party in 2016.
Commenting on Hichilema’s vow to go ahead and demonstrate against acting Chief Justice Lombe Chibesakunda’s continued stay in office, Chilangwa said if Hichilema had nothing to do, he was free to roam the streets.
He said instead of Hichilema explaining to the Zambian people what he would do for them once he gets elected, the opposition leader wanted to make a nuisance of himself.
Chilangwa said it was clear that the UPND was becoming less relevant to the political equation of the country.
“If he breaks the law, he will not be spared. If he is visited by the law, he should not run around to international organisations or to these embassies based in this country that he is being harassed and his rights are being infringed upon. We don’t want to hear him shouting the loudest. The choice is his, either he behaves like a responsible good citizen of this country or he continues misbehaving,” said Chilangwa
And Chilangwa said not even the perceived squabbles in the PF would take the opposition political parties to State House.
“The opposition should work very hard. They must have issues and they must use those same issues to get to what the Zambian people need. It is not a question of having a perceived squabble in PF and then the people think that they will dislodge PF in 2016. That is a dream,” said Chilangwa.
He advised the opposition not to hallucinate about dislodging the PF from power because the party was working hard to deliver to the Zambian people.
Chilangwa said delivery would be the biggest endorsement that President Michael Sata would have.
“Nobody will have to tell the Zambian people to endorse President Sata once we have delivered. You can only talk of endorsement if there is a competitor. Right now, President Sata does not have a competitor. He is in a class of his own, he is miles ahead,” he said.

Despite denying him permit for demos, HH and UPND has become popular and will surely dislodge pf in 2016, that is why the govt has intense fear to give opposition permit for any gathering.

The attacks on fellow PF cadres is not a crime? Why deny someone the right to express themselves? Look at the demos in USA and UK against govt intentions to attack Syria. They do not need police “permits” there. Are you saying those people are more civilised than we are? If those people in those countries were to say we are too backward to trust each other, they would be accused of being racist, and yet they would be right. Indeed “stone age” thinking is still with us.
