TB Joshua Has More Visitors Than ‘Famous’ Buckingham Palace

TB-Joshua-Now(1)According to a report in UK’s Guardian Newspaper today, Nigerian Prophet T.B. Joshua’s popularity exceeds even that of famous London landmarks Buckingham Palace and the Tower of London.

According to the report by The Guardian’s West African correspondent Monica Mark, “In Africa’s largest metropolis, the district of Ikotun Egbe has turned into a boom town. The draw? Temitope Balogun Joshua, one of Nigeria’s richest “super-pastors”, whose church attracts 50,000 worshippers weekly – more than the combined number of visitors to Buckingham Palace and the Tower of London.”

The article titled, ‘Lagos businesses cash in on lure of super-pastor TB Joshua,’ chronicles the enterprising antics of local businessmen and hoteliers who are utilising Joshua’s popularity and the scores of foreign worshippers flocking weekly to The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN).

According to the Guardian, “Sparkling new hotels rise incongruously among the shacks. At one, a new chef has recently been employed. ‘He can cook food from Singapore, because we were having a lot of guests from there who struggle with Nigerian food,’ says the manager, Ruky, at a reception desk framed by pictures of Joshua.”

Last month, Nigeria’s Punch Newspaper similarly reported the rise in business around Ikotun-Egbe, courtesy of The SCOAN’s unique services. The article, titled, ‘TB Joshua’s neighbours convert homes to hotels’, explained how homeowners close to the church were leaving the vicinity in droves to live elsewhere while renting out their houses to foreign visitors. According to the reports, international calling centres with foreign visitor discounts are also doing a roaring trade, alongside plastic chair rentals that cater for church overspill.

The SCOAN has been hailed for its impact on Nigerian tourism, recent statistics from the Nigerian Immigration Service revealing that out of every ten foreign travellers coming into Nigeria, six of them are bound for The SCOAN.

Its normal, even the Bible says “….narrow is the path that leads to life, and wide is the path that leads to destruction…..”. They follow the Devil disguised as a Man of God. Genuine Pastors who preach the REAL GOSPEL are shunned, becoz they want to hear what they want to hear. Math 6:33. I doubt, if his followers are truly born again.

Jesus pulled crowds everywhere he went. All annointed men of God pull crowds. As to whether TB IS A TRUE MAN OF GOD OR NOT, ONLY GOD KNOWS FOR SURE.

YOU CANNOT CLAIM TO BE ANNOINTED BUT STILL HAVE A SMALL FOLLOWING EVEN AFTER SO MANY YEARS IN EXISTENCE OF YOUR CHURCH.

Pelsi what makes you think that the scripture you have quoted applies to T.B Joshua? Be sincere. Is that what the Spirit tells you? Even the Devil can quote the bible correctly.

@PVCC…the works my dear. Help to the orphans, the poor, the sick, etc. Isnt that what Jesus was doing? Also his humility….As far as Emmanuel TV is concerned anyway because that is where I see all these things. I have never been to his congregation in person before.

He predicted Zambia would not win the previous African Cup, but said we would qualify for the world cup. Let’s see what happens.

That’s not true. Which channel do you watch? He correctly prophesied that Zambia would win the Africa Cup. Recently he denied allegations by some reports that he prophesied that Ghana would lose to Zambia. (Mind you, he said he has stopped giving prophesy on soccer.) I never saw the prophesy on the world cup but if its true then we know the result of the game on Friday.

Pelsi, u ur very right, people need to understand Math 24. Again it does not mean that if a prophesy comes true, then one is a man of God. Even the Devil has got powers. Remember the rod of Moses and those of Pharoahs’s magicians

You do not close up your reasoning to the superficial knowledge that you have. Watch Emmanuel TV. J.B Joshua does not only perform miracles, you will also see all the fruits of the Spirit in him. Two young Zambians who went to Nigeria by road having passed through 7 countries are now on SCOAN scholarship while our own pastors are driving posh cars from the tithe they collect or the are seeking power power.

@Kan, I agree with you 100%. That is why in the other subject on tumfweko entitled “Pentecoastal churches” I refered to one of our local pastors driving a hammer and I got a lot of rebuking for this. The truth hurts. Now if you look at T B Joshua and his humility, you can actually see a Christ-like figure. The man is not only humble but he performs miracles. He gives scholarships to orphans and the less privileged while our own pastors are driving hammers from the tithe they collect…@ Isaac, I agree with you when you summarized T B Joshua as “The true chosen prophet amongst our generation”.

What’s this TB Mania about? As for me and my household, our trembling and fear stops at Him and HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON. To me TB is just my fellow mortal man. To have everlasting faith, invest it into a never dying God. You invest it into a mortal man, and it dies when he dies. And is he Nigerian by the way?

Am so surprised by all of you judging, the bible says do not judge for you shall be judged and the same time it warns us to open our eyes of fake prophets that will come in his name and perform miracles. So work on your personal relationship with God. Jesus is your savior, not even the church will save you though fellowship is important!

God is spirit and as such he uses people to do his work. God is a God of order. He uses mortals to do his work. Even Jesus had to be born of a woman in order to be legal and do work on earth. Why do you think Satan is illegal on earth? Because he didn’t come through a woman. So God needs mortal beings to do his work though he is the controller and owner of the earth. That’s how the T B Joshuas of this world come in. So believing in his work is not investing in him. It is actually investing in God.

Okay to end the argument, please take TB Joshua and many others as Men of God in ur own right, BUT NEVER ASSOCIATE THEM WITH PENTECOSTALISM/EVENGELICALS. Even the PENTECOSTAL FELLOWSHIP OF NIGERIA has denounced TB Joshua, yes he is a Man of God in his own right, but not as some of us can see!

They say that history repeats itself.Even the bible is full of such evidence. From very long time ago God sent His own prophets to His people but unfortunately the people rejected them.Even our own Saviour Jesus Christ of Nazareth was rejected and the people where saying that”can something good come out of Nazareth?”.The bible says that our God is the same yesterday, today and forever. He changes not.The same bible also tells that everything you see or read must be examined in the light of Gods word.We are also reminded that those who have ears let them here and those who have eyes let them see.Even in the times of Noah, people didnt believe him until they perished during that flood. In our times today people are still saying the same thing “Can something good come out of Nigeria?”.The answer is YES!!!!!God has raised His own prophet for our generation. His name is TB Joshua. The earlier you realise that this is a true man of God the better. The bible says that by our fruits they shall know us.Please just find time to watch emmanuel tv either on free to air or on http://www.emmanuel.tv and God will surely speak to your heart.Just take time to analyse the message and whatever you shall see then draw up informed decisions other than from heresay.Believe before its too late!
