Now Zambian Fans Stranded ‘Ghana FA Refuses to Avail any Tickets to Zambians’

fans-heeAfter the drama of Thursday which saw Chipolopolo blocked from entering the Baba Yara stadium and training in the car park, Zambian fans who have travelled to Ghana risk watching the crucial match from their hotel rooms or bars as the Ghana football authorities have not availed any tickets.

Ghana football association has only given FAZ and government officials in Kumasi two VIP tickets and even with the Zambians asking for more which they have offered to pay for, they have received none as the kick off fast approaches.

On Thursday, Zambia was forced to train from the car park after Ghana authorities locked the team outside the baba Yara stadium in Kumasi on Thursday evening. But the Chipololpolo training session on the concrete of the stadium car park was abandoned for security reasons as hordes of Ghana fans charged at the team, hitting Zambia striker James Chamamga on the head.

In what is one of the most shocking and embarrassing episodes that throw the game into shame and disrepute, Ghanian authorities locked the Zambia team out; forcing Chipolopolo to to do their pre-match work out in the stadium car park.

ghana-watchoutHowever, Ghanaians are blaming Zambia for the dramatic scenes ahead of a match that is set to be cracking and ill-tempered as Chipololpolo seek to hit back in the game.
And Herve Renard says Chipolopolo will be motivated to fight and win despite the dramatic events of Thursday.

Why FAZ,just withdraw the whole game? write to FIFA either to postpone the match or let these thugs go unopposed. I have never seen such inhuman treatment anywhere in the football fraternity. If CAF has no teeth to bite of which they are since its president is from the same region, then engage FIFA immediately.

Zambian journalists know how to twist stories. How come it was never reported in this article that Zambia showed up late for training? They were supposed to show up at 4 pm and they showed up @ 7pm. It is being reported here as if Ghana is using some foul means against Zambia which is not true.

I agree with you. The reporting is bad and makes Ghana look to be animals when it is actually not so. Please win otherwise no excuse for ill treatment. VIVA Zambia.

Let us not waste time insulting them. It does not benefit us in any way. Let us put everything in God’s hands. We know God doesnt want us to be insulting so why insult and then turn to him for help. For once lets do things differently and ignore what the Ghanians are doing. Lets all put the team in God’s hands.
