Zambian Chapter of the International Community of Women Living with HIV /AIDS says the arrival of the consignment of Antiretroviral Drugs which were out of stock is a relief to people taking the drug.
Chapter Chairperson Clementine Mumba is happy that the arrival of the drug in the country will bring to an end the rationing of ARVs that is currently being experienced.
Ms. Mumba has since cautioned government to always tell the truth whenever there is a shortage of ARVs because they are sensitive drugs.
She reminded government that people living with HIV/AIDS also contribute to national development and should therefore not have their lives endangered by the shortage of ARVs.
Ms. Mumba was speaking to Hot FM news in an interview following Ministry of Health Deputy Minister Dr. Patrick Chikusu’s statement that the consignment of ARVs that government had procured has arrived in the country.
