2 Years After Marrying, Fwayo Tembo Files For Divorce ‘My Wife Clobbers Me alot’

fwayo temboZAMBIA national soccer team midfielder Fwayo Tembo has asked the Lusaka High Court to dissolve his marriage of two years, saying his wife, Nandi, physically, emotionally and mentally abuses him.

According to a petition filed in court, Tembo, of Mtendere compound, stated that he lawfully married Nandi on March 26, 2011 at Deliverance Church in Lusaka and had one child with her. He stated that they last resided as a couple at house number 42, Libala, but had been on separation for over a year.

Tembo stated that Nandi, of house number V12, Vera Chiluba compound, had behaved in such a way that he could not be reasonably expected to live with her as she was violent and on several occasions battered him for no good or probable reasons in public.

Tembo also stated that after some irreconcilable differences with his wife and having failed to be reconciled even after holding meetings with family members, the couple was not ready to continue living together.

He added that despite supporting his wife on a monthly basis, she has kept on reporting him to police’s victim support unit, causing him a lot of embarrassment.

Tembo further stated that his wife insults him in full view of members of his family, and prayed that the marriage be dissolved because it had broken down irretrievably.

Tembo also asked the court to grant his wife custody of the child but that he should have access and that the costs of the suit be in the cause.

Deliverance from what and by who? Fwayo is a gentleman and i think the court should grant him his request because one day he might take the law into his hands and beat the hell out of the wife. His wife is a problem.

This is a one sided story. For every action there is a reaction. I agree with Chile1, I think there is more to this than meets the eye. Someone here has stated that Fwayo differs with a lot of people; meaning he is a common denominator. How old is he? I think he is a bit too immature for marriage because honestly speaking how can a normal man want a violent woman to have custody of his child….something is not adding up.
