Ethiopia: Happy Ethiopian New Year ‘Ethiopians Celebrate New Year’

New YearEthiopia celebrated its New Year’ Day for 2006 on Wednesday, September 11.

The President of the Federal Democratic Republic, Girma Woldegiorgis, has conveyed his best wishes and hopes to the nation that the year will be a year of peace and prosperity for all Ethiopians.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs would also like to wish all Ethiopians and Ethiopian-born foreign citizens a happy and prosperous New Year. The Ministry hopes the new Ethiopian year, 2006, will be a year in which Ethiopians living at home or abroad will redouble their efforts to support their country’s development efforts. The Ministry would also to extend its wishes that the New Year 2006, Ethiopian Calendar, will be a year when our efforts to bring lasting peace and stability throughout our sub-region will bear fruit.

    Need to cut down on my age…am going to Ethopian so that I can re-live my young years…It would be interesting to be 22years once again
