Country men, women and entire Zambian people,
Kindly excuse our absence from the web, we would like to refer to some of the readers’ comments questioning our motive asking why we did no approach the Anti-Corruption Commission.
We would like to answer your queries directly personal issue with people directly involved and the answer is no we don’t. The fact is this is what is transpiring in ZAWA; we are bringing it out into the public domain as it is.
From the beginning, we have taken the root of formal legal process by sending a dossier on ZAWA irregularities to the ACC including the Office of the President Special branch. Unfortunately, ACC doesn’t have the will to truly investigate the matter based on facts we submitted. Our beloved Late President H.E Dr P.L Mwanawasa implored ACC to protect our rights and investigate those abusing the office.
ACC didn’t manage to prosecute even more than 4 people in the last 10years. In this subject matter, the ACC guided us to let the management of ZAWA issue the contracts in the manner for them to establish that our information was correct and is the truth; our information is speed point accurate.
We are sick and tired of people calling us cowards, implying that as Zambians we are useless, the Chairman of ZAWA Mr Guy Robinson has in the few months given out press statements that funds for ZAWA are available. Few days ago as quoted in the Times of Zambia during the strategic workshop 2014 Mr Robinson admitted that ZAWA has no funds therefore should look for new other streams of funding. Clearly, Photographic Safaris did not replace the income of the Hunting Safaries of some of the boards stated.
The current board members (lots of them) hold their own game farms, they immediately raised up the prices of their animals to international costs to benefit from their own decisions, such an act increases the poaching and illegal trading in wildlife.
To all of you who doubt our information you are free to approach the offices of ACC and OP to find out for yourself that 3 months ago we filed our complaint and gave a testimony. The White Elephant Mr Robinson and his colleagues from the board which the Hon Minister put up are protected by the office of the Vice President and his wife Charlotte. We ve no choice but to bring this argument into public domain and if our allegations are not true and baseless why ZAWA board are failing to submit their side of the story and protect their reputation.
We as workers of ZAWA are calling on the board to resign with immediate effect. We shall not stop to speak out even if management and the board continue to victimize us like in such a recent case where our colleague in Livingstone was immediately transferred to Sesheke at the orders of the white elephant Mr Robinson for refusing to accept animals in Livingstone without proper documentation/certifications from Mazabuka’s Ian Parson’s farm.
Zambians, we are calling upon you to protect our heritage. Voice out your voice and demand from independent media such as Muvi TV, Daily Nation as there are the only private entities willing to listen to our plight and send information in the public domain.
Thanks,
Concerned Workers – ZAWA

Thought H.E MCS promised that when he comes to power; one of the things he will deal with as a matter of urgency is the high fees at Mulungushi University and ZAWA . He even said that he wont allow ZAWA to treat animals better than human beings….I remember this very well because I once worked for ZAWA and I kind of have a personal attachment to this company H.E I know you may be overwhelmed by so many things and that is understood, but I hope you can be able to send concerned personnel to look at the issue at hand.

Having read this I believed it was really informative. I appreciate you finding the time and effort to put this informative article together. I once again find myself spending a significant amount of time both reading and leaving comments. But so what, it was still worthwhile!

this was a planned move by the v.President to help
white friends on our resources and this why most of us were questing why having a white man as a v. President and he is the one who come up with half of the zawa board whites like we are not in Zambian and some of those are the ones who killed most of our animals in our parks into their farms and if you go and see the way the treat their workers, is the way they want to treat us zawa officers and they want us to be yes sir, yes sir while we watch them doing wrong thing and since the President has no teeth to bite, then the v. president is covering every white guys in this busness while making us look fools.
