PF MP Davis Mwila Resigns as Deputy Minister ‘He becomes first PF MP to resign from government’

In an unclear circumustance, a ruling Patriotic Front Member of Parliament for Chipili Davis Mwila has resigned his Deputy Ministerial position with immediate effect.

Mwila who was one of the two Deputy Ministers at Ministry of Defence resigned without giving reasons but thanked President Michael Sata for giving him an opportunity to serve the country.

Chipili is one of the constituencies in Luapula province of Zambia.

The PF has been rocked with in-fighting as they only clock two years in government. Mwila is also the Chairman of Labour in the ruling party’s Central Committee.

He becomes the first PF MP to resign from government.

Okay, young man you have set the ball rolling, hope it does not bounce back to hit you hard in your stomach.
Seriously, it is time to put this debate to bed, it can only bring about such unnecessary tensions.

There are two things here, one resigning from govt and resigning from the party. This man RESIGNS from the govt. This means he is still a member of parliament on the same ticket which is PF. Vultures are already cerebrating for the unknown.

“Osadabwa Iwe”, you are right about the BOAT. Am worried about that political advert in 2011 by the MMD “A LONG TIME AGO, THERE WAS A BOAT THAT PROMISED PEOPLE……….THE RESULT WAS…..”. of course they were referring to the TITANIC, but meaning……!

My MP I only wish you consulted us before abdicating, We were proud to have am MP who was in government. We appreciate that it is a personal decision but you should have put Chipili constituence ahead of any petty differences. We are dissapointed.

Let those who cannot work resign. This does not entirely mean PF is lost it all nooo.PF is a big empire believe it or not. 2016 is out of discussion it’s PF all the way.most of you will get tired of waiting for your parties to come into power. For your own information, those who will remove PF from power are not even born.

The chap was just frustrated. He thought that after the demise of Hon Sakeni,he would be picked as cabinet minister only to hear a relatively younger person Kalaba was appointed cabinet minister.
    He has overrated himself.

this Malaika must be a grade 2 drop out.Bye elections are only held when a parliamentary seat falls vacant.Mwila is still MP on PF ticket. He has only resigned his govt position.
Malaika quickly seat for grade 2 GCE before you embarass yourself further.
