Mutesa: SATA Should Resolve PF Wrangles Before Sept 20th

The opposition Zambians for Empowerment and Development (ZED) has joined calls for President Michael Sata to resolve the internal leadership wrangles that have engulfed the ruling Patriotic Front (PF) before he graces the official opening of Parliament on the 20th this month.

The opposition ZED is of the view that President Sata resolves the internal leadership wrangles within his party in a manner that will restore confidence in the public that he is in charge as republican and ruling party president.

ZED president Fredrick Mutesa notes that his party also expects that President Sata outlines how the PF government intends to lead the nation foreword in peace, unity and prosperity during his speech to Parliament on the 20th.

Dr. Mutesa has told Qfm in an interview that the ZED further hopes that the President addresses the issue of the current constitutional making process as well as give clarity on the delay of the enactment of the Access to Information Bill into law.

Dr. Mutesa adds that his party would like that the President Sata also touches on the issue of the Acting Chief Justice Lombe Chibesakunda as it has created a lot of unnecessary debates in the country.

He further adds that the issue of the Barotseland Agreement of 1964 should also be touched on as the President addresses Parliament this month.

HEMCS shud just talk about national issues and not internal political issues. pf issues must be addressed inside their (members) bedroom. Parliament is made up of different political parties.

Would you let us know when Sata is going to talk about national issues. That would be a great day, and that particular day shall be declared “a National Holiday”
