Chinese National Falls to Death at Maamba Collieries

A Chinese national has died on the spot while working on Thermal Power at Maamba Collieries.

Details are still coming in but what has been established is that the man died on the spot.

The yet to be identified Chinese national was employed by a Chinese company called SEPCO.

Sepco was contracted by Maamba collieries to construct the first ever-Thermal power plant in Maamba.

The Sepco employee fell from a 60metres tower after something went wrong with the safety belt that was holding him as he worked.

The gvt should also protect Chinese National who are abused by their boses. Let the ministry of labour investigate. It is most likely that the safety belt was not OK

The safety belt was made in China intended for use in Africa, and it worked!

pipo lets not make fun of this death. china is doing a lot for zambia and africa as a whole. that death is regretable and much as labour office protects zambians, they are obliged to protect anyone working in zambia to bring development.that thermo power will not benefit the chinese but zambias. so we just have to be realistic developmental issues.
