GBM Gives Petauke DC 2-Week Ultimatum On Market Renovation

gbmDEFENCE minister Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba has given Petauke district commissioner Elijah Mwale a two-week ultimatum to ensure that renovation works at Petauke main market are completed.
Speaking after he toured Petauke main market to check on the ongoing renovation works, Mwamba, who expressed disappointment with delays to complete the works, castigated Mwale for allegedly frustrating the government’s development efforts.
He said the government had a vision of improving the living standards of the people.
Mwamba warned Mwale that if the renovation works are not be completed on time, he would report him to President Michael Sata so that he is fired.
He said Mwale did not know why he was in office and that he was the coordinator of government projects.
“You bwana DC, you don’t know your role in the district; and if this work is not completed in time, I will recommend to the head of state so that you are ejected out of Petauke,” Mwamba warned. “I suspect that you are an MMD member because you have really failed to perform. MMD was much of talk but no implementation.”
Petauke district council chairman Makalamu Phiri and acting chief administrative officer Gloria Phiri also had difficulties clarifying the painting of the market.
Mwamba said he was aware that most of the leaders in the council were MMD and wanted to portray a picture that the PF government was not working.
He warned the council leaders spearheading the works in the market that they risked being fired if they did not finish the works within two weeks.
And Mwamba urged the marketeers to remain calm as they would go back and trade from the market that was under construction in the next two weeks.

My thoughts exactly, Minister of Defence and markets, isn’t that Local Government Administration? As a minister, one has jurisdiction over his/her designated ministry, if you jump ship to another person’s area, what the hell is that appointed person for really?

Is PF already preparing ground in Petauke for the forthcoming by-election? Hope they’re not afraid of ci Dora. Baby Elephant GBM is wrongly issuing instructions and HEP Sata can’t just act on such reports. Baby Elephant must not crucify the DC, there is a Council responsible for that market project

Does it mean that GBM has now taken over the Ministry of Local Government which is responsible for markets? Bwana DC do not panic, it is not your responsibility but Petauke District Council. If HEMCS fires you on false allegations, I advise you not to be bitter instead just join Dora and hammer them in the field. In its current form, PF is a shell of disorganization that is why Mwamba is now a Minister of Without Portfolio in PF. Surely what is at stake for Ministry of Defence to inspect markets?
Could it be the pending bye- election. Where is Winter Kabimba mwebanthu?

Its GBM is out of control. He needs to be educated on his roles and responsibilities as Defence minister
