Dear Editor,
please kindly allow me some space in your media to express my concern. i would like to appeal to the government and RDA on the issue of leaving the roads marked with faded signs. I am sure that a well meaning Zambian will agree with me that about 25% of road mishaps is as a result of poor road signs and markings.
I have witnessed a number of people being knocked down by vehicles on zebra crossings not because the drivers are careless though but due to poor markings and signs. Please PF work on this issue which has contributed so much to the loss of people’s lives.

PF & RDA please take this issue seriously. If possible engage foreigners to do quality work. The type of paint used on most of our roads is of poor standard (Gong’a)

Not only markings, but big international

I agree with you and would also wish to see the LCC speed up the operation of up-lifting(if at all already it’s on) all billboards found along roads countrywide to 6 meters because the current 1 and half or 2 meter level is a danger to all when negociating a corner or changing lanes.

Zambians in the first place did you know that it is the local authority’s responsibility to make it sure that road markings are in place and are visible? And if at all they fail you can take them to court, the personal levy you pay means it must be giving proper services to you as a citizen.
