‘Sate Sate’ Hat-Trick Inspires Nkana, Now go 7 Points Clear

Nkana recorded their third successive win by defeating Kalulushi Modern Stars 4-1 in a rescheduled week 18 match played at Independence Stadium on Wednesday.

The win took Nkana to 54 points, seven clear of Zesco United in second after 25 matches. Kalulushi Modern Stars stayed in 14th position with 20 points.

Ronald Kampamba scored three times to take his tally to 14 goals this season and Jimmy Ndhlovu netted the fourth for the league leaders. Josephat Kasusu scored the lone goal for Kalulushi.

Kampamba has been in hot form for Nkana scoring five out of ten goals his team has scored since the goalless draw at home to Forest Rangers on 2nd October. He scored a brace when Nkana defeated Nchanga Rangers on 6th October and although he did not get on the score sheet against Kabwe Warriors he played a key role by providing assists for Jimmy Ndhlovu and Claude Bwalya.

Nkana assistant coach Zeddy Saileti described Wednesday’s win as fantastic.

“I salute the players because they have done very well. Our aim was to win three matches in seven days and so far we have won two. I we win against Nkwazi on Sunday then we could start looking at how many points we have,” Saileti said.

“At the moment we just want to work hard and win the next game. Today’s result is good because it means we have seven more points than our closest rivals. That means we are getting closer to clinching the title but we need to win at least three more matches before we could be convinced.”

And Saileti singled out Kampamba for praise.

“I think he deserved to score three goals today. He has been working hard in all the matches we have played lately,” he said.

Elsewhere, Red Arrows battled to a gaoless draw away to Nkwazi in a rescheduled week 19 fixture. Nkwazi are 12th on the standings with 29 points.

We need upcoming players like 30-30 in the national team…..Reason…..the guy is a natural goal scorer and thats wat is lacking in our team……..Observe from other teams all over the world….a top scorer of the league is not usually overlooked and this guy was a top scorer last year and even this year he end the same…..GIVE THE GUY A CHANCE IN THE NATIONAL TEAM

This boy should be given enough chance to prove himself at national team level. I wonder why the coaches didn’t carry him to China. 20 minutes against Brazil would have been enough.

Sate Sate Sata; The scoring machine in the land. And yet, he cannot make it to the national team full of missfiring strikers because Kalusha doesn’t know him or he has not spoken to him at “Ba Kalu mwakulalyamo bamudala”.
