Govt should try and sit on KCM board of directors for them to make informed decisions instead of making knee jerk utterances. KCM has strategy managers and will only make a decision after careful considerations of scenarios. I agree with the proposal that MPs and ministers need to have degrees as basic qualifications and perhaps professional qualifications so that they can debate constructively.
Companies are run with a profit motive while government is about meeting the needs of people even if no benefit is derived from an undertaking. It is not feasible for KCM to establish its presence in areas where it is not financially viable but govt has no option but to even build schools in remote areas of Zambia.Get the grip on things policy makers.

PF leaders claim that when u vote for PF MPs there will b development but Chingola town has two from the ruling party, Simuusa & Katema, now more suffering than ever before. Moreover, this will affect govt income thru Pay As You Earn.Promote agriculture and manufacturing industries.Stop building sata`s hse, Reduce cabinet, avoid un necessary bye elections.
Moolmans of RSA lay off about 500,U&M of Brazil lay off more than 600 miners and now KCM 1500.Govt schools & Hospitals r a sorry site. Some pipo r busy endorsing Sata for 2016. Lesa twafweni

KCM ISSUE IS NOT COMPLICATED TO UNDERSTAND EVEN FROM A LAYMAN POINT OF VIEW, THAT THEIR BUSINESS HAS GONE DOWN AND TO SURVIVE IT NEED TO REDUCE COSTS ON ALL THEIR UNDERTAKINGS- INCLUDING REDUCING LABOUR. 1,529 KCM EMPLOYEES SHOULD GO SO LONG MONEY IN FULL IS PAID AND THERE DOORS WILL EITHER SHAT OR OPEN SOMEWHERE.KCM IS NOT A GOVERNMENT INSTITUTION AND THE RUNNING OF AFFAIRS ARE TOTALLY DIFFERENT. PEOPLE NEED MONEY AND THOSE WHO ARE GOING TO REMAIN SHOULD EITHER BE COUNTED LUCKY OR WE DO NOT KNOW THERE FATE.
THE PRESIDENT SATA SHOULD LOOK FOWARD TO START TO OPEN NEW COMPANIES OR RATHER THAN TALKING ABOUT KCM.
