A MAN of Bulangililo in Kitwe has told the Ndola High Court how 15 men allegedly assaulted and undressed him after accusing him of raping their sister.
Kelvin Chambeshi, 29, of house number 861, told Judge Petronella Ngulube on Tuesday that the assailants also stole his money and mobile phone worth K3,000.
“It was around 22:00 hours after I left my sister’s house in Luanshya… I decided to go to Road House Bar to play pool when I was attacked,” Mr Chambeshi said.
This is a case in which Kunda Ndashe and Leevan Siakasunda, both of Luanshya, are jointly charged with aggravated robbery.
The offence is contrary to Section 294 (1) of the Penal Code Chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia.
Particulars of the offence are that Ndashe and Siakasunda on June 2, 2012 in Luanshya, robbed Mr Chambeshi of US$500 cash and a cellphone altogether worth K3, 000.
Mr Chambeshi told the court that he identified Ndashe and Siakasunda out of the 15 assailants because he knew them.
He testified that one of his attackers alleged that he had raped their sister and incited others to descend on him.
Mr Chambeshi recalled that the men hit him with bottles until he became weak and later they undressed him and got away with his property.
He recalled that a taxi driver found him and assisted him with clothes before taking him to his house in Mikomfwa where he used to live.
“I found that my wife was not home and I was told that she had gone to the police because someone had told her that I had been killed,” Mr Chambeshi said.
He testified that he later became conscious and woke up from a hospital bed the next day.
He said he was admitted to hospital for four days before police officers asked him to go to the police station to identify the suspects who had attacked and robbed him.
“I identified the two accused at the police station, they are the ones who were in the forefront of beating me,” Mr Chambeshi said.
Mrs Justice Ngulube adjourned the case to November 8, 2013 for continued trial.

Youths at it again.
Not much to say on this one because I know the enemy of a man is a man.
I am concern about USA Toronto Mayor Mr Rob who is accused of smoking some substance. He denied and later on admitted to the act and apologized.
People (especially Toronto’s residents)should forgive him and let him continue serving his City.
I am seeing a suicide…….

This guy is not honest. If at all what happened to him is true how was he taken home instead of the hospital or police station? He’s claiming to have gained concious after four days, meaning he did concious activities while unconcious and only gained conciousness after some days.

Law breakers shouldn’t be spared to live freely, handle them to court and be charged. We shouldn’t be living in fear, we must enjoy peace thats why Zambia was declared a christian nation.
