How many of you condemning has a girl more beautiful than one of those? That aside, why are we Zambians so negative about our artists? I’m not saying it’s right for him to pose with women, but sometimes, kwikalafye if you have nothing better to say!
TP MAZEMBE duo Nathan Sinkala and Stopilla Sunzu yesterday joined the Chipolopolo team ahead of tomorrow’s international friendly against Egypt in Cairo.
And Coach Patrice Beaumelle says no player is indispensible in the team.
Other foreign-based players that joined camp are Roger Kola, Noah Chivuta and Emmanuel Mbola.
Beaumelle said he was happy that the TP Mazembe players, who missed Chipolopolo’s friendly against Brazil last month, were part of the team.
“I am happy that they are here, we are here to serve Chipolopolo. We have to be happy to belong to Chipolopolo,” Beaumelle said after the last training session at Nkoloma Stadium.
Beaumelle said goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene, strikers Emmanuel Mayuka, Collins Mbesuma, Christopher Katongo and Chisamba Lungu would join the team in Cairo.
Beaumelle said he was happy that Mayuka was back inform at his club Sochaux, adding that he would greatly add value to Chipolopolo.
Mayuka on Sunday scored his first goal for the French Ligue 1 side where he is on a year loan deal from Southampton. The team was scheduled to travel to Cairo last night.
And commenting on the snubbing of TP Mazembe midfielder Rainford Kalaba for tomorrow’s friendly against Egypt, Beaumelle said it was important to give chance to other players instead of relying on the same ones.
“This game I choose (a team) because I want to see some boys. It is good also because nobody is indispensable. Rainford is a very good player, he is still part of my plan but I repeat we have to serve Chipolopolo, we have to serve the national team,” he said.
He said he wanted to send a message to all the players that nobody was indispensable and could be replaced.
Asked whether he left out Kalaba due to what transpired when Zambia was about to play Brazil in a high-profile friendly match in China last month, Beaumelle denied that there was a rift with the player.
He said the Brazil friendly saga was forgotten and all the players involved were in his plans.
Kalaba and TP Mazembe teammates Stoppila Sunzu and Nathan Sinkala failed to pitch up for the friendly against Brazil despite orders from government and Football Association of Zambia to make themselves available.
The trio was withdrawn by Mazembe on a combination of injuries and ailments although FAZ went ahead and summoned them before the national team doctors.
The friendly against Brazil was Beaumelle’s first game in charge of the national team.
“Rainford is still part of the Chipolopolo like everybody. I have to make a choice who has to travel with this squad. It is also to give time to Rainford to think about it. He is still part of the team, he is not outside the team,” he said.
“It is a good message for everybody. We have to be proud to wear the jersey. I know Rainford is proud to wear the jersey but I have to show a good example to the guys,” he said. “It is a good message; I repeat, we have to serve the Chipolopolo.”
He said he would try to get his first win as Chipolopolo coach against Egypt.
“It is not only about winning or losing in football, it is not a crucial game like qualification or a competition but of course as a coach I hate to lose. My target is to try to win every time. To be honest when we played against Jordan it was with local players so I was very proud because they are kids for me. They are kids because it was a short exposition for them,” he said. “But this game against Egypt is a good mix because it the Chipolopolo and some new faces so we will be ready for the battle. Of course we have to play well and we have to try to beat the Pharaohs of Egypt.
