Clive Chirwa meant well. He faced too many obstacles:
1. His perceived “failure” on not to involve yourself in one or two things;
2. The powerful road transporters (and these are many, in RSA, Zambia or DRC) – who fear a good rail line will throw them out of business;
3. Aba DIP (tulyemo naifwe) – who saw the funding from GRZ as something to be shared;
4. Political foes, etc
I am not Clive but I am just imagining what he must have gone thru.

Congratulations are in order here. This is not a small achievement in a country responsible for cutting edge research. I am very proud of this man who once tutored me in ‘the fading of ku band satellite signals’ at UNZA. I still remember his humble beginnings.

Well these are the Zambians you want disenfranchised through not granting dual citizenship otherwise we’ll continue admiring them from behind the fence because they’d have no cause to come back to mother Zambia. As it is Dr Ngoma’s ties to Zambia may only be in name while citizenship changed a long time ago. There are many more sons and daughters of the Zambian soil making a difference elsewhere who may only surface should the environment back home be enabling for their participation.

I would like to thank you all very much indeed for the overwhelming and encouraging comments on our achievements here. Off course one does not expect normal comments from a few rumpens on this forum. Please vote for me when I stand for The President of The Wonderful Republic of Zambia in 2016. Unity is power! Together we can make Zambis a better place for our children and grand children!
