GBM Resigns From Government

GBM-SATA-ZAF2-274x300Defence Minister Geoffrey Mwamba has resigned from his Cabinet position with immediate effect.

ZNBC News reports that Mr Mwamba made the announcement to his supporters in Kasama today.

Mr Mwamba has further stated that he will consult the electorate in Kasama central whether he should also resign as Member of Parliament.

He attributed his decision to quit to the ongoing impasse between government and the Bemba Traditional Council over the recognition of Henry Kanyanta Sosala as Paramount Chief Chitimukulu.

Mr Mwamba said he has chosen to side with the Paramount Chief designate because he is a blood relation who cannot be overlooked for political interest.

Government has refused to recognize Henry Kanyanta Sosala as Paramount Chief Chitimukulu.

    Resign now.

But watch out for Sata and his vindictive ways as he will reopen the ACC issues.

Best thing to do on moral grounds is clear yourself from the evil PF.

wise decision by GBM as blood is thicker than water and if only he has found the action of the government towards the chief highly prejudicial, but come to think of it is the govt reason for refusing to recognize sosala a genuine one or its out of politics? if its not right why didn’t GBM use the advantage of his position to influence or rather advice the president on the premonitions of this matter? any way honour comes when one has a power to do something wrong and goes un punished but avoids it and decides to do the right thing that will implicate but later proves his innocence. I JUST HOPE GBM IS TRYING TO BE AN HONOURABLE MAN HERE!!

He has no support from the President over Kabimba hence the resignation. You have to wear better lenses to see through.

This is one of the wisest decision that is coming out of you. We shall be behind you.

I hope this is a lesson to Nkandu Luo and her supporters that it does not pay to tell the nation lie about the Bemba chieftancy.

You can now see how deep tribalism runs in this man’s blood. Even collective cabinet decisions he will not abide by them if they affect Bembas. I wish he could have taken the same stance on BA64, but we know he couldn’t because he is a die hard tribalist. Though one wonders, bushi Chitimukulu Mwamba na Litunga Mwambwa ku Buluba eko ba fumine te kumo kwine? Anyway, these Bembas have become so selfish and the tribal bigotry they engendered has festered and is busy eating away the whole national fabric of One Zambia One Nation. Zambia is doomed whether we like it or not!
