SATA Fires PS Mwewa

PRESIDENT Michael Sata has dismissed Cabinet Office permanent secretary Anna Mwitwa-Mwewa.
According to a letter of termination of employment contract by Secretary to the Cabinet Dr Ronald Msiska dated December 23, 2013, President Sata thanked Mwewa for her services during the time she served in government.
“His Excellency the President of the Republic of Zambia has directed that your contract of employment be terminated with immediate effect. I wish to take this opportunity to thank you most sincerely for the services you have rendered to the government of the Republic of Zambia and wish you God’s blessing in your future endeavours,” read the letter in part.
And Mwewa has thanked President Sata for the potential he saw in her and for appointing her as permanent secretary.
Mwewa said it was unfortunate that evil people had succeeded in tarnishing her name and spreading falsehoods.
“The only crime I committed is being young and stopping the corruption at Cabinet Office. There are people that had been fighting me from the day I went to Cabinet Office and prayed that I fail in my duties. They were saying I was too young for the job, but God gives differently and at different times,” said Mwewa. “I just disciplined an officer who wanted to get a cut from Cresta Hotel by increasing the number of people that were lodging there during a district commissioners’ meeting and surprisingly, my name was appearing and when I queried and disciplined that officer, a cartel was formed to fight me. Even when the civil service travel office was introduced, the same people thought it was me because it stopped them from getting deals with airlines. My family and relatives have been denounced and humiliated by malicious stories.”
Recently, President Sata suspended Mwewa for alleged misappropriation of government funds.
But Mwewa, in an interview, said the claim that she embezzled any funds was false.
President Sata earlier suspended Mwewa for allegedly mismanaging finances meant for government assignments.
A source said the Anti-Corruption Commission was investigating her.
And when contacted, Mwewa then could neither confirm nor deny the suspension but refuted claims that she had misappropriated government funds.

Either you are part of the GBM axis of evil, or you failed to share in the spoils of deals, or you tried to stop theives in charge. Who doesn’t know how corrupt cabinet office is. From “cash for jobs” to “contracts” to “appointments and transfers” to promotions and reassignments. Anything goes at cabinet office. People even offer their wives for f.ucking and get f.ucked there. Expensive vehicles and chalala houses mbwee!
