Technical Committee Has Insulted Zambians – Grillo

Non Governmental Organization Coordinating Council (NGOCC) says the failure by the Technical Committee to release the draft constitution to the Zambian people as promised is the biggest insult of the year.
Ngocc Board Chairperson Beatrice Grillo has told Qfm News that the Patriotic Front government has taken the Zambian people for granted.

Ms. Grillo stresses that it is unfair for government and the technical committee to fool Zambians after spending colossal sums of money on the constitution making process.

She adds that the failure to release the final draft constitution is a big joke because the resources that have been spent on the process could have been used for better things.

Ms Grillo says government’s directive to the technical committee to print only ten copies of the final draft constitution is a mockery to the Zambian people.

The Technical Committee has decided to only handover the copies requested by government as opposed to simultaneously handing the copies to both the appointing authority and the Zambian people as promised.

Zambia a country of spineless selfish men and women. The technical committee is one such selfish and spineless committee bent only on what they will gain at the expense of a more than a million Zambians in preference for Michael Chilufya Sata. They will go down in history as a committee which betrayed the Zambian people. Shame on them.

TIYE NAYO PASTOR MATALA EYO YAKUKWILA NO MORE KINGDOM OF GOD FOR YOU AS YOU HAVE WRONGED THE PEOPLE OF ZAMBIA AND GOD.

One wonders how appointing Authorities can put up a team of cowards in such a special way and call them Commissioners for the Constitution! They have lost an opportunity just like Prezido has missed the golden boot of going down like the Mandela of this world, people who decided to give their countrymen what the desired most:-a Constitution by the citizens for the Citizens.

Demanding only to print 10 copies and hand them over to the Government is one way of changing wanting to change some clauses and put in those that can suit them. The constitution is not for the Government only but for the people of Zambia and the Government must be very careful because people are watching. This is what make some leaders find themselves in the courts to answer to some questions.

Even more than insults. That is why I will never put trust in man because he can disappoint. We had a lot of confidence in Sata’s administration and because a constitutional promise was one of the reasons why we voted for these people into government & now that we have been slapped into our faces, we will decide come 2015

Please Mr. Sata do the wisest thing, let us have copies too. Messing with the constitution has never helped your prediccessors in any way. Please listen the voice of the people. That piece of paper is not a shield to protect you only but all Zambians. Please do the best thing – stick to the original plan.

Mr Sata bushe nachipwa abantu tabakavotepo nakabili? remember it is the pipo who voted for you to be in that office and it is very easy for them to remove you from that same office. Go ahead with what you are doing pipo are watching and the voting day is drawing near day by day.
