2014 ZMA Nominees Announced
acky 2, Slap Dee and Afunika have been nominated for the popular vote Best Mainstream Artist Awards category in the 2014 Mosi Zambian Music Awards.
In the Best Mainstream Female Artist category Judy, Salma and Mampi are the three nominees.
For the HIP HOP/RAP Album industrial popular vote awards category Slap Dee with his The Business Album will contest against Macky 2 with his Zero to Hero latest album and Ruff Kainda with his The Naked Truth Album.
In the Best RnB Album industrial popular vote category awards Roberto with his My Name is album will standout against P’Jay’s The Break Through ‘Imbeketi’ album and Abel Cungu Musuka’s Worship of the Love Revolutionary.
The Best Collaboration awards industrial popular vote category awards will be contested by Chef 187, Pilato and Akufuna’s Kumwesu song, Macky 2 and K’million’s No more love and B flow and Judy’s Cry of a woman.
In Best New Artist industrial popular vote category awards, Alphonso aka Muzo, F’Jay and Cleo Ice Queen been nominated.
BK Killa Beats, DJ Dazzle and The Black Stallion Kaliwa have been nominated in the Best Male Radio DJ Industrial popular vote awards category while Christy, Mimi and Lady MC Mirriam Chigwedere have been nominated for the Best Female Radio DJ Industrial popular vote awards category.
Other Industrial popular vote awards category includes Best Club DJ, Best Studio Sound Producer, Best Band, Best Gospel Album and Best Kalindula Album among others.
Among the 14 Industrial awards to be subjected adjudication by panel include among others Life Time Achievement Album, Indigenous Music Album, Best Live Recording Album and Best Song writer.
Speaking this afternoon before the announcement of the nominees, National Arts Council chairperson, Mulenga Kapwepwe expressed optimism that the 34 category 2014 Mosi Zambian Music Awards which is being held for second time will create trends within the sector which will generate and define industry production and consumption patterns.
