NAREP Backs For Opposition To Unite

The opposition National Restoration Party (NAREP) has backed calls for opposition unity in 2014 in order to make the PF government account for their failures.
NAREP National Secretary, Reverend Jevan Kamanga, says 2014 is the year for the opposition political parties in the country to defend what is right for the people of Zambia, adding that the PF should brace themselves for the confrontations from the opposition.

He says in as much as the opposition wants to engage government on various issues, the PF government seems not interested to engage, hence the need to change strategy.

Reverend Kamanga states that the opposition will now sing one song in holding the PF to account for their broken promises.

If at all you can afford as opposition. You’re badly fragmented to the core. You can all unite but your votes will surpass those of MCS that’s the fact on the ground.

That is dust that has been brown up, it will soon settle down. Even in marriages circles, divorce does not just come about. This is part of governance. Even in developed countries these things happen. Internal quarrels are there. Wait this will be over.

Yes. I agree with this thoughtful and reasonable proposal that the opposition parties, which in fact have very educated, and rational personalities should unite for the sake of our mother Zambia. The result will be profoundly and beneficially different from what has been happening since 1964. That year, we started with very lowly educated leaders like Kaunda [form 2] who did not give any chance to the educated politicians like professor Goma, Mwanakatwe,Wina Brothers etc who could have advanced real democracy that should have benefitted every Zambian by now. However, here is our chance to unite and DO IT.
