Mazabuka Man Rapes Mother
A MAZABUKA man is on the run after allegedly raping his mother on Monday.
Southern Province police commissioner Charity Katanga said in an interview that Jameson Kapulwe of Apollo Compound allegedly raped his mother Justina Phiri on Monday morning in the house they lived in.
Katanga said according to a statement given to the police by Phiri’s daughter Esther Kapulwe, Jameson was found naked and having carnal knowledge of his mother in her bedroom where he had followed her.
She said upon finding Jameson in the act with his mother who is believed to have been in a drunken state, Esther quickly shouted for help so that neighbours could come to her mother’s rescue.
Katanga said that when Esther returned to the house in the company of neighbours, she found that Jameson had fled, leaving their mother sprawled naked on the bed.
She further described as unfortunate the failure by the victim to lodge a formal complainant to police over the incest case, saying police only moved in to investigate the matter after receiving a formal complaint from members of the public.
Katanga said police in the area would ensure that Jameson, who is believed to be in his early twenties, was quickly brought to book to answer the charges of rape levelled against him.

The whole story is suspicious if you ask me, it was rape only that they where caught. The mother was fully aware of what the son was doing they were only disturbed by the daughter.

I agree with some comments that the young man could have been sleeping with his mother with her full consent.it appears this has been going on for sometime and the motherloved every round of it such that she could not let him stop.the drunken stupor was as a result of wanting to do it out of shame.Sad indeed for my home town.

Coming to the issue of rape,i agree with other bloggers that there are more questions to it than answers.Let the law enforcement investigate this matter thoroughly.W e also want to know why the mother could not lodge the complaint.

Men and women have been drinking from time in memorial. Beer can not make yu sleep with yo child. This was happening and they were just disturbed by the sister. Why didnt the victim go first to report to the police. There are more questions than answers

Sad and it seems its not happening for the first time, but why would a mother be so drunk in the early hours of the morning to the extent the can not shout for help in the house. There is more to this.

Its like those pipo a mother and son are all Bachelors so they av been having sex through out. There are some families who do not appreciate marriage so for them facking a sister mother, daughter, causins grandchildren its normal. In most cases if you marry from these families marriage becomes very difficulty because all the members in that family will be fighting you for they ll never appreciate a couple since are from that back ground of sleeping within themselves, the father will be against the son inlaw and the mother against the daughter inlaw, for marriages to fail, anyway it very sad indeed

This story makes sad reading but raises a lot of questions.why would both the mother & son be found naked? It means there was consent & this was not the 1st time it was happening. The accussed rapist would have had his clothes on & the raped would only have had her pants missing.The complainant is just embarrased & annoyed & wants the brother panished.

Tom you are right. There are families whch enjoy seeing devisions and seperation in their relatives marrieges, you would find the uncle, brother, sister and most of the family members with squables in their living. These bafunz only pay attention to their son or daughter no matter how good their inlaw would be. Till devorce. Besides encouraging high level of prostitution to their children they too benefit in kind, that could be the secret behind besides, ahahahahaha
