Luanshya Girl Commits Suicide After Failing G9 Exams
A 16-YEAR-OLD girl of Mpatamatu Township’s Section 26 in Luanshya yesterday committed suicide after discovering that she had not made it to grade ten.
And another girl is battling for her life at Roan General Hospital after she too attempted to commit suicide after learning that she had failed her grade nine examinations.
Luanshya mayor Nathan Chanda confirmed the development in an interview saying the incidents happened separately but that the two girls were brought to Roan hospital at the same time.
“I can confirm that Roan Constituency chairlady’s daughter Aliness Kwenda, 16, committed suicide after she discovered that she did not make it to grade 10. She took doom insecticide and was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital while the other one is still unconscious at the hospital,” he said.
Chanda said the two girls are residents of Mpatamatu Township sections 26 and 27 and described their action as annoying.
He said he managed to talk to the other girl at the hospital and encouraged her to value life because failing an examination was not the end of the world.
“I spoke to her parents and they told me that she was even boasting that if she failed her grade nine examinations, she was going to kill herself. This is not good and we are appealing to parents to talk to their children, discipline is important in a family. It is sad that a girl can be boasting about taking her own life,” he said

The Girl who is alive needs help and proper counsel and not condemnation so be careful how you handle such a case.

The case of a LUANSHYA girl who as you have repoted committed suicide after failing her grade nine exams makes sad reading. From afar you might think it’s because she failed her exam. She is just a victim of satanic attack.The devil is out there to destroy innocent souls and of course he needs to use a particular event to fool the people into believing a lie . We need to pray for the family of the deceased so that God can give them the grace to endure this difficulty momennt. People who have no spiritual eyes are quick to conclude wrongly and call her names. You need to be aware that the devil is our real enemy and we need to stop him and his diabolical activities in Jesus name.

I passed grade 7,9, 12 ,,,,Natech,,,,,,but have failed a professional final paper 4 times…iam still alive and God grace is still on me….I will never give up…hey there is life after failing

Too sad; parents, let us try to be good to our children, watch their reaction, try to comfort them, encourage them, have time to be clozer to them, give the our attention. Let as not take it for fun when there iz an oppotunity to do what is required of us for them. God bless the Parents. Rest in peace beloved daughter.

We are really different with the way we handle things. I have also failed professional exams several times, was ditched by my fiancee 3 weeks before the wedding, lost my job through redundancy, duped of ZMW 30,000 through sale of illegal plots etc etc etc etc BUT AM STILL ALIVE!

Ramcoz & Agriflora employees were propary swindled by this chap called HH, But they are still alive, HH himself was tought a leson by RB in 2008 when he got 522 votes while RB got 2,000,000 in 2011 again he was wired by MCS but he is still alive, maybe in 2016 when he will be baptized again by MCS that’s when he shall commit sucide.

These cases are common in developed contries e.g japan. That’s a signal that zambia is developing. So she has brocken zambian record.so if we can have failures like Nevers Mumba ,HH,Dora ….commiting suicide the country can develop

I had failed my grade seven 3 times grade 9 one time.And i completed scool as an external cadidate.whn i went at nortec kwali ati ndi chikopo kwisa, katwishi namano uko yafumine.here am iam workng as supervisor in one of the biggest mines in zambia.to the family of my sister who died my heartfelt condolences and to the sister wh is in the hospital i wish her a quik recovery.Evn some our ministers,Mps they where failing its only that they cant disclose that to us.

Too bad, my condolonces. I grew up in Mpatamato. We used to pray alot those days when Luanshya was the HQ of satanists. The only town with gates which meant that everyone passing through that gate was under the spell of the enemy. I can talk much about mpeti. But Lya people please pray.

It is important to understand the dynamics of youth ministry. What the youth need is proper guidance and counseling, in their various career interests.Condemnation is not the solution, and proper attention should have been paid to the words the young girl used before the results came out. Youth psychology is really complex. We should never take the youth explorative capacity for granted. They may easily get discouraged. May God grant the young one eternal rest, and give consolation to the family.

My condolences to her friends and relatives.
Some of these cases must be investigated. What I mean is that she might have been a victim of sexual abuse during the election period. A teacher(s) or fellow male pupils might have used her in bed after giving her false exam leaked papers. She might have thought of how many people she slept with in an effort to pass exams but all in vain. Imagine that trauma! These things do happen.

It is sad that a life has been lost.For these girls to go to the extent of committing suicide,they must have been sure that they would pass.Perhaps they had a leakage which later turned out to be a wrong paper.

I think she should have gone to Matero like Masumba to get a fodged certificate.
It is a criminal offence to attempt sucide.
Sucide is the only offence which attempting to do it is a criminal offence but actually doing it is not criminal offence.So if you attempt sucide the cops will lock you up but if you succeed they wont coz hell takes over the case to prosecute you.

Too bad my sister R.I.P. Lets face it – failing can be very devastating but one should never commit suicide on account of failing an exam.
I have been doing some research on people who have excelled in life. One thing they had in common is that they used their failing in whatever area as a stepping stone to do better. Egs

There is just a spirit of suicide in mpatamato, many pipo have lost there lives through sucide.deliverance is needed.
