7 Mwembeshi Family Members Die After Lightening Strikes Them Down

Seven members of the same family in Limuni Fishing Camp of Mwembeshi Constituency are nursing severe burns after the house they were in was struck by lightening.

This tragedy happened yesterday around 16:00 hours in Milandu Ward of Mwembeshi constituency following a heavy down pour.

And Patriotic Front Shibuyunji district Secretary Joseph Kasonde has appealed to Shibuyunji district Commissioner Fanwell Mweemba to expeditiously facilitate the safety of the victims by finding means of rushing them to the nearest health centre either at Shibuyunji or Martin Luther clinics for first Aid.

Mr Kasonde adds that they are confident that the Government’s plan to put up a District Hospital in 2014 should be one priority on the agenda so that when such calamities occur, possibilities of serving lives can be guaranteed.
