I presonally knew the old man, unfortunately he was
innocent and just picked from the farm by the appointing Authority into foreign mission.when i learnt about his appointment and how he was looking, i asked myself how he was going to perform and for how long. The question is; when are the youth going to be given chance to work? Its sad

Why are these Bandas always picked from farms? Mwanawasa picked Rupiah and Sata picked this Kaweche. The unfortunate thing is that, despite their advanced ages, they were not principled enough to turn down the appointments. Is it because of the love of money?

Whether you like it or not there is an aristocracy that controls the levers of structures of government. These are people even when there is a regime change they including their kids continue to get appointed by the powers that be. To me this Kaweche Banda sounds to be Betty Kaunda’s brother. I mean the Betty who had a child with Kapwepwe. What a shame that someone has to succumb to old age while in a diplomatic posting when we have plenty of young men and women who are able bodied and willing to take up these positions but this wako ni wako syndrome is killing our nation. What do you expect from an 80 year old man who should be in the capable hands of his grandchildren?
