Post Newspaper Editor-in-Chief Fred M’membe Issues an Apology to GBM

In his letter of apology, Mr M’membe said that after returning from South African and discussing the story with the editors who were in charge of the story about GBM, he was convinced that the source of the story, a Mr Menyani Zulu, did not have direct contact with Mr Mwamba. Mr Zulu was merely acting on hearsay.

Mmembe must be consistent. He cannot apologise to GBM for publishing an unverified story about him and maintain his writ of summons against the Magazine and it’s editors for doing the same thing to him!

Knowing Fred for all these past years, the apology is genuine and coming from deep down his heart. Fred is one person who can not apologise where he knows that his facts are right. Bravo Fred for coming out open and truthful and i urge GBM to accept the apology

Fred Mmembe and the post are disgusting to say the least. Mmembe is a selfish man who only thinks about his well being and that of his paper. Anybody he feels will not favour him or shield his past mistakes and scandals (like the Zambia Airways one), he frustrates to the core. He only wants puppets, etc. Well time will tell. There was a time I really used to enjoy the post and everything therein until I opened my eyes one day and realized the guy has been playing us all alone…
