What Mandela Left His Wife Graça

Nelson Mandela

Nelson Mandela

Former president Nelson Mandela has left his wife, Graça Machel, all their cars, the jewellery in her possession and the works of art she would like to take from the Houghton home she had shared with him.
He has also left a staggering R3 million to each of Graca’s children from her former marriage to the late Mozambican president Samora Machel – Josina and Malengane.
Not only has he provided for Graça’s own children, but he has also left R100 000 each to six of Samora Machel’s children from his previous marriage.
This is all revealed in select parts of the will, which were today made public by the executors of Mandela’s estate.
The will reveals that Graça and Mandela were married in community of property. This means that, by law, she is entitled to fifty percent of Mandela’s estate.
But should she waive her right to fifty percent, she will inherit that which is specified in the will, including:
» Three houses and a property in Mozambique and all their contents;
» All the motor vehicles of the joint estate in Mozambique and normally used by her;
» All jewellery in her possession;
» All the money in bank accounts that are registered in her name; and
» From the Houghton property, any artefacts or works of art Graça may wish to take from it.

    For the sake of dignity, let her go back to Mozambique.
    She was in RSA coz of Madiba and since he’s no more, she has to pack and get what belongs to her. Period.

      Thats all you know! Gracia was a dean at University of Cape Town way back before she got married to Mandela. An accomplished woman in most spheres of life.

      Well, and indeed she may pack and go because her friends and those she chooses to associate with reveals her level of idiosyncrasy. Thats why Madiba chose her. Am glad not one of your feminine relatives where near him.

      In the mean time, focus on insinuating wrong things about what life throws at us.

        Ba diaspora,
        Garcia Machel became chancellor at UCT in 1999 by then she was married to Mandela and again in 2010 she was unopposed for the second term that will end in 2019.

        Ba Diaspora just come back home, sweet home Zambia and worst of it would be denouncing your Zambian citizenship for just Rands, Dollars or Pounds. Otherwise xenophobia may catch up with you.

    What a Man!!!! “He has also left a staggering R3 million to each of Graca’s children from her former marriage to the late Mozambican president Samora Machel – Josina and Malengane.” He did not just end there but read this again… this time loud
    “Not only has he provided for Graça’s own children, but he has also left R100 000 each to six of Samora Machel’s children from his previous marriage.” and some people fail even to leave a name for their own children.

    Mandela was just silly as any other person in the world. How can a normal man with his own children decide to give an already rich widow all this. He is not my hero but a hero for the West. As anarchist I have and I will never worship him. He was damn old man.
