Libongani Advised to Halt GBM’s Interrogation

Opposition Republican Progressive Party (RPP) President James Lukuku has advised Inspector General of Police Stella Libongani to work professionally and avoid politicizing the pursuant of her duties.

And Mr. Lukuku has charged that the process that the Zambia Police Service has taken to start interrogating former Defense Minister Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba is a worst form of injustice.

Mr. Lukuku wonders why the Police did not interrogate Mr. Mwamba when he was still a cabinet Minister but only to wait after he resigns from the Ministerial position.

The RPP leader notes that such actions are aimed at intimidating Mr. Mwamba’s family as everyone can now see that the questioning of his family allegedly boarders on political lines.

The opposition leader adds that such investigations are allegedly ill conceived as the police could have investigated Mr. Mwamba a long time ago and not now when the party has labeled him an alleged traitor.

Kabimba is not being investigated, if he was, he should have been relieved from his position. That’s just a coverup.
