Govt Rules Out DRC Invasion

Government has ruled out the possibility of invading the Democratic Republic of Congo in the wake of killings of truck drivers on the Congolese side of the Kasumbalesa border.

Home Affairs Minister Ngosa Simbyakula has told Parliament in a ministerial statement that the Zambian government has engaged the Congolese government through diplomatic channels to find a lasting solution to the killings.

Dr Simbyakula says Zambia is not at war with the Congolese neither are there hostilities between the two countries to necessitate the invasion the DRC.

He says government wants to resolve the matter in a brotherly manner considering the fact that Congo will always remain Zambia’s neighbor.

Dr Simbyakula adds that two hundred security officers have been deployed at Kasumbalesa border to beef up security.

He says it is the responsibility of government to provide security to the people of Zambia at whatever cost.

Build huge warehouses at that border

Trucks from Zambia or passing through Zambia will offload goods in the warehouses, then the DRC trucks will load goods from the warehouses.

Like that no Driver will cross the border into DRC. Safer for our people.

Its time for our soldiers to muscle what they are earning for.It is believed that soldiers in zambia just train and retire without war engagement except for a few who are called for peace keeping mission elsewhere.

The least thing we can ever talk about in Zambia is going to war. Peace is the best gift that God has given to Man kind. Some Countries like US, Uk and other developed Countries migh be seen going to war but one thing u can never see is them waging war againest any country on their own soil. In short, the Goverment has taken a right stance to engage te DRC Gov to resolve the issue as seen in the plan to build a dry pot at the boarder as the best solution to the problem.

What are the benefits of WAR?
Ask me I am in a war zone so keep off that subject. If you have nothing to talk about GO BACK TO BED AND continue dreaming.OK
    Suggestion:
Companies and individuals dealing with Congo in what ever bussiness should take responsibility immediately their drivers and vehicles cross into Congo. Individualy drivers must know and always remember that Congo is not Zambia,Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Botswana or any where there. where you can do what ever you want NO. So each individual driver and his lorry mate should remember that wrong or right there are things you can’t do in Congo and even things you can do can bring you troubles. A policeman, a soldier, a woman and even a man on the street can put you in problems just to gain. A policeman is the arresting officer, he is the magistrate, he is the prosecutor, and he is the judge and can also be your lawyer depending on which side he smells the money and can also be your prison warder.
In congo as a foreigner you have no choice but to pay that is life and it is normal for our friends. So imagine what stress you will go thru if ever you were to live in Congo when you are used to procedures and laws that even protect criminals until they are proved guilty. Tese are things one has to contend with once inside. In Congo you are guilty simply when a police man approaches you, You are guilty even without trial. You are guilty even before being taken to the police station. Being taken to the police station can also result in the arresting officer losing out where money is concerned. So once arrested you will be judged and told to pay at the scene of accident, Incident or any where, what ever and where ever it happened. Women have seen foreigners caged, fired from their jobs and deported for refusing to pay a few dollars after doing bedroom gymnastics and most have been sent packing with nothing but clothes on your body if you are lucky. So it is risky to enter and live in Congo. That is the bad side of the coin. The good side of Congo is that if you have the money to pay then no troubles will follow you, so drivers must be paid more to be able to survive. Do not risk your life. You can part with five dollars other than take a risk. Much as all foreigners would like the Congolese to change their way of doings you are wasting your time. It is embedded somewhere, where it cannot be removed. They listen more and are more attentive and obedient to our white folks than to you and me blacks. So when on their own it is difficult to quess the next movie to watch. MUSIC.

The answer to this troubles lie in what the man who calls himself TRUTH has said let the government of Zambia facilitate the construction of giant Ware-Houses at all borders with Congo where trade volumes are high ,and all exporter trucks will offload into these giant buildings on the Zambian soil without crossing into lawless Congo and the Congolese importers will pick their goods from these trade zones. The government can lease these buildings to private operators and make money from these operations.
