Workers Complain At The ‘Abnormal’ House Prices By Lafarge

Former Lafarge workers have bitterly complained at the the high amount  of money the company houses are being sold and the grace period they are  given to stay in the houses. ” Lafarge with a claim to empower its workers is selling houses at abnormal prices. This is aimed at punishing workers who have worked for a long time for the company and are still staying in company houses. Each tenant is given only a six months deadline to pay failure to which the sitting tenant will be kicked out. ” One  of the former employee told our reporter. Below is part of the valuation report of the  houses in question,

It is just too much.Although the screen is not wide enough to see the actual figures. What were the maximum benefit for the Lafarge workers who retired?Do not exploit our Citizens please.

Lafarge should be investigated like KCM as they are fond of externalising profits. They make a lot of profit as this industry is monopoly pure.

Why do they now want to rob poor Zambians who have contributed to what this company is today.

These houses are zero book value why rob the poor former workers. If am not mistaken they were belt 10 years before independence

My advice to the workers is to take this issue to court. The Zambian courts are reliable.

    Why deport MD?
