Lusaka Journalist Publishes Book On Tb Joshua’s Authenticity
A LUSAKA based journalist Chrispa Mulenga has published a book which analyses the authenticity of Prophet TB Joshua, the controversial Nigerian clergyman who was recently named as one of Africa’s most 50 influential figures.
Prophet Joshua whose full names are Temitope Balogun Joshua is the General overseer of The Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN). Prophet Joshua is one of the most popular clergymen in Africa and has a huge following in Zambia.
Titled ‘Is TB Joshua A True Prophet Of God?’, the book which also includes one-to-one interviews with Prophet Joshua analyzes the Nigerian clergyman from his critics’, fans’, science and the Bible’s point of views.
The author of the book, Mulenga is the proprietor and editor of “The Church” Newspaper- a fast growing weekly Christian newspaper started in November 2012 and circulated in Lusaka and 25 other commercial towns.
Mulenga explains in a statement that he wrote the book not to criticize or praise the Nigerian prophet but to provide the much needed information relating to Prophet Joshua.
“Truth is, Prophet Joshua is a controversial individual not only in his native Nigeria but also Africa and the world in general. Here in Zambia, the mere mention of his name sparks lots of interest and unending debates,” Mulenga states.
He adds: “…In as far as I know, all these things happen because there is something unusual about Prophet Joshua. It is this ‘something’ that I am trying to establish in this book.
“Some say this ‘something’ lies in his connection to the occult world. They say it is the same ‘something’ that the devil probably gave to Michael Jackson or Lady Gaga so that they can be popular.
“Many others, though, think this ‘something’ lies in his connection to the Living God. The God all of us worship. They say the man is like all of us but was somehow gifted with great anointing and wisdom by the Lord. That’s what this book is all about.”
The 98 paged book is currently available at major bookshops and newspaper stands in the Lusaka Central business district.

TB Joshua is a true prophet whom Jesus said will come in the last days to deceive many, if possible the elect.
“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.” Matthew 24:24.
“Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders.” II Thessalonians 2:9.
Lying signs and wonders are never what men really think they are. To those who are deceived by them, they are true signs. The lying sign not only leads astray, but it serves to confirm man in error and thus keeps him from truth that would set him free.

Too much smoke must mean some fire not far away. Why haven’t we had so much controversy over other men of God? Men of God are not a new phenomenon. Why so many questions on this one? One has to be ware!!!

The One with the most controversy in the whole of mankind’s history was even crucified for what He taught. His name is Jesus Christ. Are you telling me that Jesus was not real because of controversy around him? Every genuine man of God faced controversy. In the Bible, all apostles were even killed for their faith, the same with prophets of the Old Testament. Read 2 Timothy 3:12. All that will live godly shall suffer persecution. Rephrase this, and you have: ‘All genuine men of God shall face controversy’. God bless you and enlighten, friend.

The difference btn joshua and a true christian is this:
1.When jesus wanted to help people he went to them,they did not follow him.
2.Jesus gave free and encouraged others including us as his followers to give free,but TB joshua charges for his appointments one has to book to see him.
3.Jesus said we should remain neutral and not get involved in worldly affairs and competition,TB joshua does get involved in politics and competition.
4.Jesus before he died told his followers that you need to move from house to house declaring the Goood news.TB joshua is stack in his church.
-well u may ague about his power,well jesus said they will say we performed miracles and healed the sick but I will ask them that in whose name?
In conclusion he said we will know them by their fruits…does TB joshua have a few fruits we have mentioned.

Chapwa and Katwishi mukwai you have made some very important points. You see, its a Journalist to tell us who is a true prophet or otherwise. Its the bible. People of God, in most cases the difference between a man of God or a true prophet and otherwise is very slim in these last days. if not careful all will seen to prophets of God. This is serious great controversy between God and Satan. Lets believe in God our creator and not in Prophets. A sticker of a human being will not help any one, it is meaningless. Only the name of God and the blood of Jesus ready to save any one willing.

Any good thing shall attract opposition. the bible says God is spirit and those who worship him shall do so in spirit. And so because we cannot see spiritual things we should be careful to stand on anthill and denounce people doing the work of God. Leave TB Joshua alone to do what he has been called to do. The Bible says you shall know them by their fruits and the bible further says that test every spirit and see if it is of God. The Bible further goes on to say a kingdom divided against itself can not stand.
What the Prophet TB Joshua demonstrates are the true attributes of a genuine Man of God. TB Joshua is daily winning people for Jesus through his actions and preaching the World of our Lord Jesus Christ with demonstration of power stated in the Word. You who say you are of God what are you doing for the Lord apart from leaving the flock the you are leading hopeless and frustrated with life?
Remember he is not the first genuine servant of God to be persecuted (remember Paul, Stephen to mentioned but a few)
so your sentiments do not amaze me.

Very good points. Further, I get baffled by people who put stickers with the face of a mortal man (TBJ) on their cars, erroneously believing the sticker will save them from accidents. There faith is now in the sticker rather than in the blood of Jesus!

The best way to guard yourself against falsehood and false prophets is to know the truth. To spot a counterfeit, study the real thing. Any believer who “correctly handles the word of truth” and who makes a careful study of the Bible can identify false prophet.
Therefore one has to study the Bible and judge all teaching by what the Scripture says.

If there has been a phrase in the Bible that has been recently tortured until it confesses a lie, it is the phrase, “Touch not the Lord’s anointed.” I hear it a lot in Christian conversation today. Usually, the phrase is meant to caution anyone who is criticising the questionable teaching or way of life of a famous preacher or church leader. That is meant to be a no-go area.
The popular understanding of this phrase is that if you say negative things about “an anointed servant of God,” something nasty will happen to you. You might even die a horrible death.

Who are we to Judge TB, love him or hate him thats your choice. He is a Great Preacher of the word and indeed a prophet (He never asks anyone to do wrongs). “If you do not realize that there are powers that cause people to be bowed down in bondage. You will fight the wrong battle” (something i learnt last sunday from TB).

My problem with T B Joshua is that, he claims to be messiah. T B Joshua is not satisfied to remain an ordinary prophet, but wants to exalt himself as messiah as well. And, by the way, there is no messiah, but Jesus Christ alone, the only Mediator between God and mankind.

T.B Joshua says and has always said” Jesus Christ is the object of our faith…. A servant can never be greater than his master. He is a servant of Jesus Christ. Those of us who follow his teaching have never perceived him as a god but a servant of many regardless of one’s religion.

i only hope mulenga has made independent search with sound theologians and i am basically apprehensive with what may be his findings on tb joshua because you can not understand the man of God without the deeper theological insights. i have not read the book but i feel mulenga should have allowed his book to be subjected to critic. journalists play with words and their goal is to sale or make money.

T.B. Joshua is a man of God and true Prophet. I use to doubt him but ive followed him well and compared to the common ‘men’ we all know. He is above the common man. Ive placed my vote on him unlike being a cadre of Satana and earthly bye-elections. To hell those who criticise T.B. Joshua a genuine men of God. U hve continued to persecute and kill prophets.

Are people aware that there are demons sent to criticise true men of God? These demons speak for themselves during deliverance at SCOAN and most people are not even aware that they are possessed. Quoting the bible correctly does not make one a true believer because even the Devil is able to quote the bible from Genesis to Revelation correctly. The bible and the Word are two different things. One can read the bible without receiving the Word. The Word is always true.It cost nothing to watch Emmanuel tv. Demons fail to penetrate a place were there is Emmanuel tv. There has been nothing like it before.
