Well, we may have to look at the powers vested in the minister. However, any normal minister would not take such a move without looking into her/his job description. I just do not understand the extent of the “due process” you are talking about but what I do know is that if the minister finds something wrong and her job description allows her to take action, so be it! The good thing is that there are well established legal procedures in Government. People can be funny. If you have been a high ranking official before, you should know what am talking about.

@Chiko- some enlightenment. A wrong is always a wrong. If you use wrong means to get a right outcome, the whole thing is tainted. If I hammered a 6″ nail into you palm to get you to tell me about your wifes theft is it correct. If I imprison you to get your brother to make himself available for questioning, is it correct?

The CEO is employed by the board, the board is apointed by minister. If you want to be rid of the CEO, pove your case immediately or refuse to renew his contract. This is not idi amin times.

When you are sacked without due process you will squeal! Do unto others …

Wildlife in Zambia has also become like Mining where the locals just hear about it. Even supplying goods and services is for the local Indians, whites and foreigners. Ask how many Zambians have seen a Lion or a Buffalo before and you will be shocked. If its true that she discovered those scams, the firing is irreversible. Some of these things have nothing to do with the constitution, it is just common sense. Also this is the down side of Democracy because some chaps take advantage of it. They team up and start accusing the Minister of slaughtering an animal for traditional ceremonies etc, what the hell is that? The problem is that some of these chaps just want wildlife to be the preserve for them and them only. To hell!
