Mr Hichilema has told QFM News that the action of the opposition Members of Parliament to mount pressure on the Executive to enact a new constitution is commendable.
Mr. Hichilema has particularly praised his party’s MPs and those from the Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) as well as the Alliance for Democracy and Development MP and Independent Lubansenshi MP Patrick Mucheleka for what he has described as a commendable job.
He has observed that such pressure by the opposition MPs on the Executive is long overdue.
Mr Hichilema adds that there is need for other measures outside Parliament which will further mount pressure on government to release the draft constitution.

HH thinks by inciting the public it will be easy for him to be the president. Never. Or maybe he thinks Zambia will be another Ukraine, never still. In violence you never know who dies first. We want elected president and not opposition leader to act as president because of violence. If he tells his MPs to boycott sessions, then he is saying in Zambia, the system has broken down and its each one for himself. Whats that? Inciting the public

There is a serious problem in my country of birth – Zambia. I’m not certain on what exactly is going on, but I’m sure of what the future holds. This animal they call – Frederick Mumembe has a brought a lot of misery than what the eye can see, his days are numbered. Ba ZWD, you are doing a wonderful job, you know what, Frederick Mumembe thought he could get away with the law and fool Zambians all the way. This is the right time for him to count his blessings; all Zambians regardless are equal. We will ensure that we fight him right from inside here at the Post Newspapers to the helm of every inch of blood. He has terrorized masses for so long; we have all the records to torment him, up and down. We will not rest until this little dark-aligned creature falls to the grave. We will nail, hammer and brandish him till he sucks his own filth blood. He is a maniac not only to the Zambians but to all media houses. Many have fallen on the way, but for how long imwe ba Mumembe? And just a sigh of a warning to his closes associates; Ukwa, Winter Kabimba and Mutembo Nchito and the foolish Miles Sampa and other cronies, your time is UP. Never again the history of mother Zambia, are you ever gonna go Scott free, not at all. We will fight this battle to the bitter end. You can’t fire innocent Journalists and think you will go Scott-free, Kabanda and Henry have great of great friends that you still house along Bwinjimfumu road, watch the sapce you damn *****. Enough is enough!

a very open and unbiased question to HH en UPND members. I s it credible to press for something using wrong avenues? is it proper to break the parialemntary standings simply because of wanting the executive to heed to your calls? what picture does this potray to the outside world? am non partisan but i still feel no matter how injured or desperate one is, the best way forward is to follow proper procedures. here I find it hard to agree with these views because when the speaker said he would invoke the non payment of these guys allowances, they all decided to be present so what could we deduce from this?

The constitution issue is very senstive and not to be rushed. Looking at its current form, if enacted, zambia will become ungovernable as the govt will be sued from day one to Day 365 by these overzealous human rights activists. There will be tribunals sitting each and every day. Is that wat we want. No. Let govt and stakeholders harmonise the contetious issues, we o really need a better constitution
