Preaching Sustains Nevers Mumba- Nyangu

Nevers Mumba
NEVERS Mumba is paid for preaching outside the country and that is how he looks after his family, says MMD acting national secretary Chembe Nyangu.
And MMD national treasurer Mwansa Mbulakulima says the party is aware of three or four of its members of parliament who have been against Mumba and that these were the ones who were spreading lies.
During a briefing at the party secretariat on Monday, Nyangu said the MMD did not sustain Mumba’s lifestyle but that he fends for himself.
“These people are being malicious; the party does not sustain Dr Mumba, he fends for himself. Many times Dr Mumba has gone out of the country to go and preach and in that way he gets paid and that’s how he looks after his family. He is a pastor and he gets invited to international conferences, churches and so on. So to say that we should explain where he gets the money, I think we are being too petty. He has been a preacher all his life and time and again, he has preached elsewhere and he fends for himself. The party has not been sustaining him. All those stories are just innuendos aimed at character-assassinating Dr Mumba and they feel he is a threat,” said Nyangu.
And Mbulakulima accused some MMD members of parliament of trying to incite the party’s membership across the country to rise against Mumba.
“Mumba’s sources of income are personal issues, Dr Mumba has been around for sometime. Surely do we have to go and find out why he is in that house? We have to determine what kind of house he should occupy and what suit he should wear? Zambians know Dr Mumba and they know where he is coming from. That’s being petty,” he said.
Mbulakulima said the MMD was not the only party whose members of parliament made contributions to the secretariat, saying other political parties such as the UPND even got more than what MMD asked for from its members of parliament.
He said the contributions made by the members of parliament were utilised on the secretariat’s operations.
“The MMD is not the only party that asks its members of parliament to make contributions to the secretariat. If anything, we are the party that contributes less to the secretariat,” said Mbulakulima.
Some MMD members of parliament have accused Mumba of leading a lavish lifestyle and resolved to withhold their respective K2,500 monthly contributions for as long as he remained president.
But Mumba described what was happening in MMD as a fight of politics.
According to senior party sources, the members of parliament who have their K2,500 directly deducted from their salaries by the National Assembly to fund party activities were concerned with Mumba’s lifestyle, which they described as that of a very rich man.
And last year, Mafinga MMD member of parliament Catherine Namugala accused Mumba of asking MMD members of parliament to contribute more money, which she claimed was meant to finance his flamboyant lifestyle.
Mumba, however, dismissed the claim.
Mumba had proposed, among others, a K62,600 monthly expenditure budget for his personal emolument and operations of the MMD president’s office, records revealed.

You’d think by now Christians would be used to new knowledge completely destroying their ancient fairytale. Science has destroyed their creation myth, their flood myth, their claim to absolute morality, their claim to original authorship of their holy books, their claims to miracles, basically everything mentioned in the Bible or about the Bible. We’re know finding out that their entire belief system is a cobbled together collection of fairytales without any grounding in reality.

You sound to be a very bitter person who avert use of Holy Bible as a tool of truth. Miracle used to happen and still happening to those who believe in and not believe in his Mighty name because his love cast has no selection. May be be so.

Pastors are more deadly than snakes in the world today. For those who see pastors as angles, remember you can be your own angel because most of the pastors are destined to hell. They cannot save you. Pastors are now involved in rape, murder, robbery, assault etc…

Little substance in the claims, who says the Bible has been proved false? Read wider! Never bring your bitterness and combine it with inconsistent individuals.

@Anonymous, firstly humble yourself before your creator.
The bible is the only religious book that is reasonable in its teachings.
The fact that the churches of christendom misinterprate the bible is no reason to claim the bible has no divine origin. Just humble yourself and find a true christian to take you through the bible teachings and you will discover how rewarding a study of the bible really is.
If you are an honest-hearted person, please follow this advice and you will not be disappointed.

What makes a preacher a better person than a prostitute if he spends money meant for the church on worldly pleasures? Please do not portray a picture that prostitutes are beyond redemption. A preacher who has no Christ in him is no better than a prostitute.

Kazeze ni kazeze ….I have followed Nevers Mumba from the time of “Zambia shall be saved” days to now. I have followed what he once said and what he is still saying. Nevers was once quoted as saying “I cannot go into politics or become the President of this country because it would be a demotion for me…..I would rather remain a pastor coz that is more senior than being a president…” Some of us have very good memories… I will leave it at that.

@Trixy. He may have said that in a given context at a given time. At that time when he said that it may not have been the right time for him to aspire for Presidency but a vision is never cast in stone it can change as long as the vision remains in My Mumba’s context it is “Zambia shall be saved” and in that context he is within his vision.

Let a “Yes” be a “yes” and a “no” a “no.”. Management is about making a decision and sticking to it no matter the circumstances. The other word for that is called “Consistency”. That way people take you seriously and will never doubt what you say. Not saying one thing today and a different thing tomorrow. However if he said this in the context of Zambia shall be saved, then it is okey. It is just that I had so much regards for this man of God and was very disappointed when he went to politics after his utterances.
