Finance Minister Chikwanda to Hold Press Briefing Tomorrow
Finance Minister Alexander Chikwanda will tomorrow breakaway with Patriotic Front tradition by addressing the closest Zambians will come to a state of the nation address.
Chikwanda said he will hold a briefing to give a comprehensive situation on the state of the economy.
The Finance Minister’s address is a far cry from President Michael Sata whose modicum of communication with the citizenry is facebook or at rallies during by-elections and swearing in ceremonies.
With the kwacha in freefall and Zambians still reeling from post subsidy removal effects there is a lot of panic in the nation.

I hate HH naturally – he is Tonga and I am Bemba – but he has begun to make sense irrespective. Henceforth I resolve to judge him, as per Martin Luther, according to the content of his character and not the color of his tongue. I admit that all my inherent (in the genes) tribal sentiments are daily being obliterated by sequential errors of judgment of my tribesman at plot 1. Keep at it HH, we have started paying attention.

Yes indeed Nkhanza, substance over form not tribe. Mwanawasa was said to be cabbage but he ran govt well.

I also realized that this Government was up to no good when subsidies on mealie meal and fuel and several other things were removed…It was then that I realized we have been duped (Like Jamakudi would say)….so welcome to the realistic world my brothers….Let us look beyond tribe and go for the most promising man in plot one…maybe just maybe things will improve because at the rate things are going we are headed for serious trouble.
