HH Feels Vindicated Over Kwacha’s Free-Fall
Opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) President Hakainde Hichilema says he has been vindicated when he projected that the Kwacha will depreciate badly in the near future.
Speaking when he received some defectors at the UPND Secretariat today, Mr. Hichilema says when he predicted that there will be a free fall of kwacha, people thought he was merely trying to win the people’s confidence and ruin the ruling PF government.
Mr. Hichilema says there is no doubt that people have lost confidence in Zambia’s economy owing to the fact that the Kwacha has continued to depreciate.
He states that the $178 million the Bank of Zambia injected into the market was a drop in the ocean because it simply cushioned the currency for a few days.
Meanwhile about one hundred and ten Patriotic Front members in Lusaka have defected to the UPND.

PF put up a good strategy for winning the elections but did not have a plan to rule the country.In fact they are still in shock.That is why they oppose any constructive views,thinking they are still in oppositon.Lord have mercy.

But the same HH threatened to sue the govt when kwacha appreciated against the dollar to about k4.80 early last year or late 2012 because he was getting les in kwacha terms from his foreign business transactions

HH lacks principle. He simply waits for events to pan out then says I was right all along. 2016 is a long way off.

We have and will NEVER have anything to prove ringht with HH in the matter of our econormy in Zambia bcoz, he contribited to this ups and downz when he exitedly joined Fred in saling of the pride of our economy (minz), and they took all the money and put it in there personal businessez; living our contry with nothing. HH; you can not be trusted in this.

The Zambian Crisis: Dear UN, Zambia has become a police state and is being ruled with an iron fist by a paranoid, unstable and incompetent old dictator named Micheal Sata who has committed all kinds of abuses against the citizens. He has ordered his police and national service to kill, arrest, imprison and beat innocent Zambians when they ask for what thy deserve. Sata and PF must be sanctioned. GOD BLESS ZAMBIA.

i believe no one is enjoying the fall of the kwacha,no,not even micheal sata or his government,bt i urge the so called hh to swallow up his pride and offer his oppinion and avert the current problem and every zambian will know he has a heart for mother zambia

icinshikululwa and bodybuilder should start a support group for people that have no education and want to express themselves. They both have blind following based on tribal affiliation. Their sentiments are see through and targeted at weak minded people. Fortunately, this forum has few of those, so they stand out as !diots

HH can work well as permanent secretary in the ministry of commerce. No ill feelings about him. In UPND, Garry Nkombo or Cornelius Mweetwa can make good President. Coming to the issue of our currency, Zambia has a lot of Economist HH and Prof. Oliver Saasa being among them. They have to show that they worth the salt and not just criticise without offering solution. Remember HH and Never Mumba went to Common Wealth and SADC asking them to imposse sunctions on Zambia. What type of leaders are they. Do they really understand what sunctions are and who may be affected. Shame.
