Serenje Girl Commits Suicide After Parents Ban Her From Facebook

A 15 year old  girl in Serenje District in Central Province has killed herself after allegedly differing with her parents over her flirting with boys.
The girl, a Grade seven pupil, threw herself in a river.
Central Province commissioner of police Standwell Lungu and Serenje District Commissioner Charles Mwelwa confirmed this yesterday.
Mr Lungu said the girl of Ngulwe Kabonde area in Serenje committed suicide between March 16 and 19, this year.
He said the girl threw herself in the river after getting angry with her parents who told  her to  stop  spending much of her time on Facebook and  seeing boys.
And Mr Mwelwa said police officers retrieved the girl’s body from the river on Wednesday after it was found floating by some people and had since been buried.

I feel sorry for the parents but not the girl, these girls should know that displine is very important. To me, it looks this girl was very rude to no regard for her parents. I hope for them to let it go and they should continue with displine.

This is too bad. Children; pliz, stop thinking that; someone will pay or feel pain when you do such…, even protesting for everything you are pleazing with, iz not good at all. Remember, the real pain will remain with to Hell.

This kind of act is actually demonic. The devil will push a person to do such a thing. This girl is mature enough to stand before the judgment seat of God. She is accountable for her own action. Young people learn a lesson from your friend, it does not pay to be sturbon to parents.
Sorry for the parents that they have lost the child. Though the story has not said much, these are good parents. Children now want to spend much time on the Facebook and chats on the internet neglecting studies.

Our girls in this day and age have become impossible, they have no raged for authority and lack respect for parents, surely, how can a girl who is still being kept by parent even imagine that she can go and spend a night outside and still come back home and be received without question??

That is exactly what these girls feel!!

Guardians/ parents continue with discipline as duty given to u by God. if she used time well on face book & was polite probably her parents would hav not banished her. her rudeness/disregard to them cost her own life and God will not thank her for bad action. I warn all children to respect parental instructions always
