Despite Being Disowned By His Own, Nevers Rubbishes Step Down Calls
MMD President Dr. Nevers Mumba has dismissed the resolution by some National Executive Committee Members led by Dr Brian Chituwo for the party to hold an extraordinary convention to elect a new party leadership.
Other NEC members who made the resolution to convene a convention include Michael Kaingu,Dora Siliya, Kapembwa Simbao,Lucky Mulusa and Chembe Nyangu.
But Dr. Mumba has told QFM News in a telephone interview that the statement issued by the NEC members led by Dr Chituwo is not representative of all the NEC members but that of a few with a hidden agenda.
Dr. Mumba states that the NEC members calling for an urgent extraordinary convention want to bring confusion in the party.
He says every political party has problems but that it was very wrong for the few NEC members to state that the MMD has problems considering that it is not the only political party with problems

My Advice to Mumba is that it is high time he called it a day because these political battles will not go away.The leadership of political parties at presidential level require a deep pocket as far as Zambian politics is concerned or you need backing from persons with deep pockets, unfortunately for our Mumba, his pocket is not deep enough and so is his political claught.
He should have started his race to state house from being an MP and not the quantum leap he is triying to do.
Humble yourself and just seat back away from politics for some time.

It is unfair for these Leaders to Attack Dr Nevers Mumba through the Press…because we have never heard Nevers attacking His leaders using the press. Nevers Mumba is a matured and Responsible leader. They should leave Dr Mumba alone so that he leads this Party with Peace.
