Sundowns Defender Arrives At Zesco

Sundowns’ Togolese signing Emmanuel Matias has officially arrived at Zesco United to begin his short-term loan deal.

Matias linked up with Zesco over the weekend in Sekondi en route back to Zambia after the Ndola clubs’ 2014 CAF Confederation Cup engagement against Ghana club Medeama last Sunday.

“We have a partnership with Sundowns and they asked us if we could accommodate the players from six months to one year,” Mumba told MTNFootball

And Mumba revealed that Zambia defender Hichani Himonde is due to finally arrive to start his loan spell at Zesco from Sundowns on March 21.

“Hichani didn’t have match fitness so they had keep to keep him in South Africa for a while and he is joining the team on Friday. I can also confirm that their International Transfer Certificate’s are done and the registration have been done,” Mumba said.

Himonde joined Sundowns in January from DR Congo club TP Mazembe but has been loaned out to Zesco together with Matias after The Brazilians exceeded their foreign quota.
