Grade 9 Pupil Narratess How Taxi Driver Defiled Her
A 15 year old Grade nine pupil has told the Kitwe Magistrate’s Court how a 23-year-old taxi driver allegedly defiled her in his vehicle after she asked for a lift home from school.
This is in a case in which Joseph Mwaba of house number 213 Mulenga township in Kitwe, is charged with defilement.
Particulars of the offence allege that Mwaba on January 22 this year in Kitwe, had unlawful carnal knowledge of a girl under the age of 16.
The girl told magistrate Kampinda Chipamu on Tuesday that on the fateful day, she was on her way home from school when she met a certain girl.
The girl told the court that it started raining and she and her friend asked for a lift from Mwaba and he agreed to take them to their homes.
“He dropped my friend in Mulenga township, I told him that I was going to Ndeke but he drove to the bush where I did not even know,” the girl said.
The girl recalled that Mwaba allegedly parked his vehicle in the bush and told her that he had run out of fuel.
“He came to the back seat where I was seated, covered my mouth with a piece of cloth, removed my pant and had sex with me,” the girl said.
She testified that two women came to her rescue and apprehended Mwaba.
The girl testified that the women took Mwaba to Wusakile Police Station where he was arrested and charged with defilement.
Ms Chipamu adjourned the matter to April 1 for continued trial.

If the girl was shouting or screaming for help when the two women went to her rescue, then she is credible. On the other hand, if the two workmen where just attracted by the car awkwardly parked in the bush and discovered the people were having sex, then there are issues to resolve here. These girls are so sophisticated and crazy, any sensible girl would not remain alone in the car, let alone ask for a lift from a taxi driver!!
