Jealous Husband Beats Wife To Death
A Jealous husband of Kasama has beaten his wife to death after accusing her of flirting with other men.
Kennedy Bwalya, 31, was unhappy when he found his wife walking home from a church with a man and allegedly started beating her after accusing her of flirting with the man.
Northern Province deputy police chief Milner Muyambango named the deceased as Prisca Bwalya, 28, who died from internal injuries sustained from the beating.
In the aftermath of the beating, Bwalya left the matrimonial home in Lua Luo Township and allegedly went into hiding after neighbours ferried his bleeding wife to Kasama General Hospital where she later died.
The body is lying in the Kasama General Hospital mortuary awaiting post-mortem.
Mr Muyambango said police were looking for Bwalya and was hopeful he would be apprehended soon.
