Kambwili’s Copperstone University Degree Fake
Information has emerged that the degree which embattled Sports Minister Chishimba Kambwili obtained from Copperstone University was fake.
Kambwili who only appeared on November 29, 2013 for graduation at Kitwe’s Moba Hotel rarely attended classes.
A lecturer at Copperstone University which is located in Nkana East has confirmed to Tumfweko that Kambwili didn’t attend lessons for him to obtain his degree.
“Why should Kambwili lie to the nation? Let him prove to anybody if he ever went into class? This is not PF where he bulldozes everybody. The Anti – Corruption Commission should investigate Copperstone for awarding a fake qualification to someone. Pantufye ni ba Minister? Ifyabupuba,How can someone who never attended class graduate with a merit” complained the lecturer.
Mundia Sitwala , the Vice Chancellor of Copperstone even had an agreement with Kambwili which people within the university were not aware of.

One doesn’t need to be sitting on class in order to pass exams. If the lecturer said kambwili didn’t sit for the exams, i was going to understand mwe!

Senate rules for each University differ just like the ‘types’ of degrees also differ.For example an online degree,a long distance degree and ‘resident’ degree will differ in both the methodology of teaching and grading system. A ‘resident’ degree (weather full time or part time) will need that a student attend 75% of class (for each course) to be eligible to write an exam as an example.
The question is what type of degree did how honourable enroll for?? Was it full time?, part time?, long distance? or online? and what does the Copperstone senate rules state regarding the award of these catagories of certificates?

The lecturer is far behind in terms of technology, there are so many degrees which are offered online! Many people in Zambia are studying Business Administration degrees from CBU on distance learning, I have never heard of any lecturer complaining that he never saw, so and so in his lecture for him or her to graduate, it is childish. FTJ Chiluba got his degrees at state house, he only came to UK on graduation! Move with time, otherwise the students will suffer because of outdated methods and thinking.
