Woman Tells Court To Counsel Her Hubby Over His Insatiable Appetite For Sex
A woman of Lusaka pleaded with the Lusaka Boma court to counsel her husband over his insatiable appetite for sex which even led him to having sex with her best friend.
Mercy Zulu told the court that she is tired of the irrational behaviour of Boyed Phiri, whom she described as a sex maniac.“I have on several occasions caught Phiri red-handed with his lovers. Both his and my parents have tried to sit him down but he has not changed his behaviour,” the distraught Zulu said.
This was heard before Justices Kalunga Chansa, Pauline Newa and Easter Mulomba, in a case in which Zulu sued Phiri of Misis township for marrage reconciliation.
The two got married in 1999 and have six children. Phiri however has one child from his lover whom he has since married.
Zulu who was close to tears further said that Phiri took on a second wife without her knowledge.
“I can not accept to be in a polygamous marriage because Phiri did not consult me before making the decision,” she said.
Zulu also complained that Phiri has not been supporting his family and paying school fees for his children.
She also said Phiri spends most of his time with his new wife and cares less for his family.
But Phiri said he told Zulu about his intention of getting a second wife but that she refused to be in a polygamous marriage.
“My wife, Zulu told me that there was no marriage between us when I told her about my intention of getting a second wife,” he said.
Phiri said Zulu instructed him that he could only see his children only whenever he went to her house to visit though that he would sometimes spend nights.
The court castigated Phiri saying he is the cause of problems in their marriage due to his love for women.
The court however adjourned the matter waiting for both parties to bring their parents before giving them counsel.
