Wynter Kabimba says Zambia cannot develop without leaders who govern in the name of God.
Meanwhile, Southern Province minister Daniel Munkombwe says every time Kabimba opens his mouth, the country benefits.
Speaking at Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula International Airport on Tuesday, Kabimba, who was in Livingstone at the invitation of the SDA Church to grace the 2nd Southern Africa-India Ocean Division (SID) Pathfinders’ Camporee at Hillcrest Technical School, told the PF cadres that welcomed him that the church looks upon the PF government as a partner in national development.
“Therefore, we should always remember that this country cannot go forward without leaders that are God-fearing. We need to fear God, we need to govern the people of Zambia in the name of God,” Kabimba said.
Munkombwe said Kabimba was uniting factor, loyal to President Michael Sata and the people of Zambia.
“Every time Kabimba opens his mouth, the province benefits, the nation benefits,” he said.
And officiating at the SID Camporee yesterday, Kabimba said many youths had become a liability to the economies of many nations because of being enslaved by drug addiction. Kabimba praised the SDA church for utilising the Pathfinders’ movement as a skills development sector for the youths.
“To secure economy in any country, investments to the youth sector is the key to social security… We have too many youths around the world, including Zambians, who are enslaved by addiction to harmful drugs. Those are the ones who become a liability to the economy of any nation; they become destitute in life and grow up to become dangerous criminals in any society,” Kabimba said.
He said youths where a special asset in the economic development of any nation and must keep themselves healthy, safe, clean and proactive.
“Do not get involved in bad and dangerous activities and lifestyles like alcohol and drug abuse which diminish your character and integrity which are valuable for your future achievements as citizens,” he said.
Kabimba said youths must know that they were living in a sick world where many incurable diseases such as HIV and AIDS where on an increase.
And SDA president Dr Harrington Akombwa says it is sad that some young people are ashamed of the word of God.
Dr Akombwa said the SDA desired good citizens and a better life for everyone regardless of their creed.
He said with a political party (The Green Party) talking of legalising marijuana and youths not ashamed to smoke the substance, nations needed to have a core of young people trained to be good citizens to take government to higher grounds.

Killing people in the name of God? Brutalising people in the name of God? Stealing money from poor taxpayers in the name of God? Blackmailing people including chiefs in the name of God? Mismanaging the economy in the name of God? Ruling by terror in the name of God?

The SDA church should stop this pathetic habit of licking the boots of incumbent govts. They did this with RB when Rusangu university confered upon him a PhD when RB was busy misgoverning the nation (although now compared to Sata he is an angel). SDA should be principled and should not go as far as being partisan like what a Ps Monga did last time in Choma when Kabimba was visiting. Even the highly political Catholic church which actually was very instrumental in ushering the Sata led govt into power has now realised the backed a wrong horse and is more sensitive to the cries of the people and stands with them now. Then who is the real mark of the beast with their behaviour?

John, so you think the church works like you, not that way. The church embraces every one. You need to know that it will embrace you too either from top leadership or prison one day. Spare the church deal with your own problem first.

@JOHN,
You sound to have hatred problem for nothing. The church can associate with anyone it be criminals or yourself as long as it is not conflicting with the word of God.Yours is Pharises approach, why does Jesus associate himself with sinners? Infact on that function,Kabimba, your enemy spoke very well.Kindly deal with your own problems of hatred first before you criticise the church, otherwise you may attempt to curse what can never be cursed but curse you instead, says the preacher man.Kabimba and others can go wrong but on this one,he did nothing wrong just like the church did nothing wrong to invite him.

People know that God is the most important in their leadership but they deliberately ignore him.Just know that you will be judged rightly as a leader if you rule to the contrary.Blessed is he that governs with God

A Country which is not ruled by Jesus Christ the son of God, its dead. I pray that our leader give their lives to Jesus and worship him in truth and in spirit such are the worshipers Jesus seek.
Solomon asked God’s intervention in his life and he prospered such should be the desire of our leaders. Jesus is the solution to the problems and challenges our country is facing, if only we surrender to his Kingship and rulership of our Lord Jesus Christ shall we have economic boom( matt 6:33…).
