It’s Not Easy To Be MP – Shamenda

NDOLA Central member of parliament Fackson Shamenda says he has sleepless nights thinking about what is happening in his constituency.
Shamenda said in Ndola that it was not easy being a member of parliament.
“We together with my fellow members of parliament in Ndola have sleepless nights over what is happening in our constituencies. I have a heart for Ndola and whatever I do, I do it for Ndola because I love Ndola so much because I think of what development I can take to Ndola,” he said.
Shemenda said he was alive to the fact that the PF made many promises to Zambians in 2011 and that the party would never renege on them.
He said all promises that the ruling party made during the 2011 campaigns would be fulfilled.
“I know we made a lot of promises, a promise is a promise but people should know that a promise is not fulfilled right there and then. We have started working on what we promised Zambians and surely we will deliver each and every promise in due time because we know that all the promises we made are important,” Shamenda said.
He said promises were continued commitments that the government was working on.
Shamenda said he was looking at the mistakes that he had made to learnt from them and make corrections.
He said people should not offer criticism without solutions and urged people love each other for the development of the nation.
And Shamenda praised ward councillors in Ndola Central, saying without them, there would be no development in the constituency.
“I pay tribute to my ward councillors who work tirelessly when I am doing other duties. They are hard working and without them there would be no development in Ndola,” said Shamenda.

Being a leader means making hard decisions. Decisions not implementing decisions as a functionary. Your job is hard because you have to justify you poor, greedy, selfish decisions. If you think that is hard, wait till 2016 when you’re in court.
