Zambia To Start Manufacturing ARVs

Health Minister Joseph Kasonde says a corporate entity is working closely with his ministry to start manufacturing ARVs in Zambia.
Dr Kasonde says government has provided the private sector with facilities so that they can start manufacturing ARVs locally.
The Minister said this in an interview with ZNBC in Lusaka.
Last year, Zambia was hit by a shortage of ARVs in most of the public institution country wide.
Meanwhile, Health Deputy Minister Chitalu Chilufya has urged Lusaka residents to support the on-going TB survey.
Dr Chilufya says the survey will avail Zambia an opportunity to determine the prevalence of the opportunistic diseases in relation to HIV and AIDS.
He said this in an interview with ZNBC in Lusaka.
The team carrying out the first ever survey on the prevalence of TB in Zambia is currently in Lusaka.
The team is expected to conclude data collection by next month.

We also need government to give Sondashi a chance, so that he can prove once and for all whether his medicine works or not.
