Ndola Woman Dumps Baby In Pit Latrine
A 24-year-old woman of Kabushi township in Ndola on Friday gave birth to a baby girl but threw it in a pit latrine.
Kaloko ward councillor Vincent Mulenga confirmed the development in an interview saying the woman claimed that she did not know that she was pregnant.
“I received a report that a woman from Kabushi who went to Kaloko for prayers. During the prayers, the woman rushed outside to go and vomit but took long but after some time she came back and continued with the prayers. Later, some women went to the toilet and they heard the cry of a baby from inside the latrine. They called me and I called the police and the fire brigade. We managed to remove the baby from the latrine and we rushed both mother and child to Ndola Central Hospital,” he explained.
And hospital public relations officer Sheona Kawendo confirmed that the hospital received Dorothy Kumwenda, 24 and a baby girl who was later taken to Arthur Davison Children’s Hospital for further treatment.
“The mother is being guarded by the police and she is still in the hospital. The baby is fine but was rushed to the children’s hospital. The police are still waiting for a report from the doctors because the woman says she did not know that she was pregnant. This was a full-term baby,” said Kawendo

It’s country of bastards!! The young lady was probably raped and refused to keep the rapist child. Where is the father of the little bastard? He must be castrated.
