Most Zambian Celebrities are Not Circumcised But Are Now Celebrities keen to get The Chop – Sulu

SOCIETY for Family Health male circumcision ambassador Sulupinsio Banda says most Zambian celebrities are keen to get circumcised and champion the cause.
And Sulupinsio, popularly known as Sulu, said he was happy that about 800,000 men have been circumcised countrywide since the launch of male circumcision campaign some four years ago.
Sulupinsio, who is also an actor and singer, said in an interview that most local celebrities he had interacted with had expressed interest in being circumcised.
“In fact, majority of the celebrities I discuss issues of circumcision with are circumcised. The response is good, and so far, a lot of them are willing to champion the campaign in various areas. Most politicians are also circumcised,” Sulupinsio said.
He urged men that were not yet circumcised to do so in order to protect themselves, as well as their partners from disease.
“I think by now, Zambian men know the benefits of circumcision, but we will continue preaching; if you look at me right now, I am very healthy. Because I’m circumcised, the chances of me contracting diseases such as HIV have reduced. Of course, I am not saying that I will go around rampaging every Jane and Melvis around, No! I will continue supporting this noble cause for my country,” he said.
Last year, Society for Family Health unveiled Sulupinso as its ambassador for male circumcision.
Since then, Sulupinsio, who also got circumcised at that time, has been actively involved in championing the campaign.
Voluntary medical male circumcision coordinator, Dr Albert Kaonga, in an interview said from 2009 to the end of March this year, not less than 700,000 men were circumcised nationwide.
He said the figures will rise, with involvement of Sulu in the campaign.
“The demand for male circumcision went up, especially when we unveiled Sulupinso as ambassador in Matero last year. Most people in that area came forth because of Sulupinsio’s influence,” said Dr Kaonga.

Reasons NOT to Circumcise Your Penis.

    1. Because the foreskin is not a birth defect. The foreskin is a normal, sensitive, functional part of the body. In infant boys, the foreskin is attached to the head of the penis (glans), protects it from urine, feces, and irritation, and keeps contaminants from entering the urinary tract. The foreskin also has an important role in sexual pleasure, due to its specialized, erogenous nerve endings and its natural gliding and lubricating functions.

    2. Because circumcision does not prevent HIV or other diseases. Over the years, the claims that circumcision prevents various diseases have repeatedly been proven to be exaggerated or outright fabrications. Most men in the United States are circumcised, but their STD rates are as high as or higher than those in countries where circumcision is rare.
    3. Because most medically advanced nations do not circumcise boys. People in Europe, Asia and Latin America are often appalled to hear that American doctors and hospitals remove part of a boy’s penis shortly after birth. Approximately 75% of the men in the world are not circumcised and remain intact throughout their lives.
    4. Because caring for and cleaning the foreskin is easy. A natural, intact penis requires no special care. Gently wash the genital area with warm water while bathing. That’s it. Later, when the foreskin can be retracted (something that often does not occur until adolescence), a boy can be taught to pull back his foreskin to wash his penis. The boy should be the first person to retract his foreskin, since forcible retraction by anyone else results in pain and injury.

A hungry man will preach anything as long as you give him money. You can even tell him that circumcision is the best for Zambian men, as long as you give him money he will go flat out campaigning! Not so much different from hungry political cadres!!!!

Do we have celebrities in Zambia? Nigeria and South Africa have celebrities.

A celebrity is a person who commands a significant degree of public attention in day-to-day media. The celebrity status is often associated with wealth. The only celebrities we have are politicians.

It must be awful, being circumcised. To have the sensitivity of your genitals reduced like that! I imagine that it would be a lot like me wearing a condom…but without the condom!
Ahhhh, it’s so wonderful to be INTACT!
