Patrice Tips U-20 To Beat Mozambique

Chipolopolo trainer Patrice Beaumelle says the Under-20 squad has a good chance of making it to the next round of the Senegal 2015 Africa Youth Championships.

Beaumelle who joined in the morning session at Bank of Zambia Sports Complex said that the junior Chipolopolo should know that qualifying was more important than winning.

He said that having maintained the same team from the losing Cosafa squad had given the lads a good spirit.
“The most important is not to win, but to qualify to the next round,” he said.
“It is important to play in these competitions because the team needs to check itself against other teams to see if they are improving or doing the right.”

Beaumelle said that the team was in good spirit ahead of the second leg clash against the junior mambas.
Zambia host Mozambique on Sunday and have a 2-0 advantage from the first leg played in Maputo a fortnight ago.

Team coach Hector Chilombo has roped in Zanaco’s Dave Daka and Nchanga Rangers’ Larry Bwalya to add depth.
The duo was not part of the first leg.
